Tickets from Disney vs. Undercover Tourist

I am booking our Disney trip TONIGHT.
We had it all planned out to go for 5 days in November at about $1,800 total with the free dining option (which made us get park hopper tickets).

I was just fooling around with the calendar and found that if I go for the same amount of time in August or September, I can get a room and tickets for a lot cheaper (no park hopper, no dining).

I am wondering what some negatives would be if I bought my room ($349 for 5 nights) from Disney and my tickets from undercover tourist instead of getting both from Disney. Is there a downside to that?

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
Undercover Tourist is not much cheaper maybe $10 dollars a ticket for the same category of tickets ( regular sold on Disney that is not a park hopper is probably about $10 more per person etc). No disadvantages really except waiting for tickets to arrive to add them to your account etc. You will be staying on property so you will still get magic bands that you can use for your room and park entry etc. Also you would still get to make do your fast passes 60 days before as long as you buy and link your tickets before 60 days. :)
This all depends how much you want to spend/can spend, but I personally reccomend keeping November(if not Thanksgiving week!).
Also for such a short trip I reccomend having the park hopper to take advantage of evenings after other parks close earlier like AK etc. That way you can visit another park in the evening or just go dine in another park in the evening and not be stuck just at one park. The dining plan is nice because everything is paid ahead rather than budgeting while there.
These are all just my opinions.
You may spend almost as much total once you add in food costs OOP etc if you go in August/sept than having the package in Nov. Also crowds in August especially are really busy and it is extremely hot in Aug/Sept. So those you should consider as well.
Whatever works best for your family and budget though is what you should choose regardless what any of us say. Lol Oh and sorry to ramble on with advice you did not ask for! lol :)

I ordered my tickets through undercover, shipped out same day. They are just the card type tickets, but come in a well thought out packet, the back of the ticket is visible with the numbers so you can take a picture of them encase you lose them you have record of the tickets. I put the numbers into MDE, no problems. Mom even got an email letting her know that a ticket was added to her MDE. The only draw back was undercover required a signature, no big deal except it was sent through the USPS....and around my part of the woods, their hours are limited 9-4:30 so my wife had to take off work to swing my the post office one day and pick up the package.

I usually buy my tickets through Undercover Tourist. They aren't a huge discount, but every little bit helps.

They ship VERY quickly, and as said above come in the hard card type tickets. You just plug in the numbers on the back into your MDE account online and you are all set. I always keep a copy of the card numbers on hand in the event there is an issue, but it's never come up.

One thing of note is that the envelope they are mailed in isn't overly bombastic the way that Disney mailings are, so be careful to not accidentally toss them out with junk mail! My mother almost did this to our tickets one year, lol.
