Ticket refund if guest doesn't join us?

Hi-my daughter's boyfriend isn't sure he can join us on our disneyworld trip this winter. If I buy him a ticket and make a reservation for him, will I be able to get a refund for the days he can't join us (if I let DW know in advance)? If they will do a refund, will he get the refund in his name or will I get it back on my credit card? Same for a gift card, if they won't refund but rather put a credit on a gift card, will it be in his name or my name (the purchaser). Thanks.

As far as I am aware they are not refundable. Now some have called and said they will refund if it's a good reason. The other option would be to pretty much use that money on future tickets.

And if they did refund, it would go onto whatever CC or gift card was used to pay for it.

You would have to book a vacation package that includes a resort stay and tickets. If you do that you can modify the package and remove him and the ticket.

If you purchase room and tickets separately the tickets are nonrefundable.
