Ticket question

I have a ticket question. Here's the scenario.

I had a family member purchase Park Hopper passes for my wife and foster son (5) through an official source. When he went to get the tickets, they didn't have any children tickets and bought two adult tickets.

Is it possible to convert one of the adult tickets into a child ticket and apply the price difference to an upgrade of the other hopper ticket to an annual pass?

We've upgraded various park tickets into AP's over the years. But, we've never messed with something like this.

Unfortunately no on both counts. You can't "downgrade" a ticket and you couldn't use the proceeds from it towards upgrading a different ticket.

What I'd suggest, if you're going the way of APs anyway, is hold the extra adult tickets until you're renewing the APs [if that's the plan] or returning another time.
