Ticket question

Another Universal question from an Universal newbie:

My husband and I have been researching online at Universal's site about tickets and we need some advice. We are planning to try to go to both parks for 1 day to hit the thrill rides.

There is either a 2-day ticket you can get online and as a bonus you receive 3 days free. But we don't know if this expires??? Then there is the option of just buying a 2-day ticket at the park. And again expiration date comes to mind. Are these tickets "good forever", in other words no expiration.

Or even better, is there an option for people to buy a 1-day "hopper" pass in order to enter both parks?

Thanks in advance

There is a one day-two park ticket. It is either $68 or $90 something. Sorry for extreme range but I believe they just lowered the prices on those. As for the expirations on the others I'm not a 100% sure, if I find out I will let you know. If you do the 1 day 2 park ticket I would recommend that you also get the express pass plus, it will cost you a bit to get it for both parks but it will insure that you hit all the big rides in one day. Now if you want to actually relax and experience the parks do the 2 day 2 park ticket.

As Michael says, there are ONE day, 2 Park Tickets. But if you intend to get all thrill rides done in the one day, go off season. We were there last July, both parks, packed!! And there's quite alot of thrill rides between the two parks, as well as good shows and such. As far as the longer tickets, now I don't know about this particular deal, but if you're getting extra days free, NORMALLY they expire in 7 to 14 days, but also I think if you opt out of the extra days, you can NORMALLY get them to be non-expiring. If you buy at the gate, the ticket desk will be pleased to give you the options I'm sure :D Hope that helps!

Thank you for the answers. The info below is obviously what my husband saw online but he must of not read all the info. Typical male-just kidding
Anyway it sounds good that we can purchase a 1 day-2 park ticket there-that seems to be the best option.

If I were you I would plan on going to Universal for 2 days. You are getting close to the busiest time of the year for them and you could have anywhere from 60 minute to 120 minute waits. Unless you are willing to pay to get the express pass plus at both parks which will be about $80 a person. Just a sugestion

It was available last July I'm 99.99999% sure, but that was at the gate, so don't know if they still do it/do it away from the gate.

You are quite correct. There is a one-day/two-park ticket available at the gate for Universal. I was there this past weekend utilizing my annual pass so that a friend who was with me could get my ticket purchase discount. :)

IIRC, the price, before my passholder discount, was $69-ish...

I am in Orlando as we speak and I purchased the 2-day, 2-park pass where you get the third day free. It says right on the ticket, in big bold letters, that it expires 6 days after 1st use.
