I hope someone here can help me, I have literally been looking on an off for this information for YEARS!

When did WDW go from A-E tickets to a daily pass? It has to be somewhere between 1975-1977.
Does someone have at least a year, if not a day? Does anyone have any pictures, or press releases or any information about the swtich over?

For whatever silly, reason, I am very interested in this kinda thing.

As much information as possible would be great. If someone has pictures of the old tickets, or guides with the prices of the tickets printedm (A-E), that would be awesome as well

As much as the Internet is full of information, I am having a very hard time finding this information

Thanks

My first trip was August of 1978 and they were using the paper A-E ticket books. I still have them, though all the E tickets are missing. :D

My first trip in 1979 they still had A-E tickets.
When we returned in 1980, we bought a 'two-day' pass that I seem to remember let you ride everything, although there were still people using the old tickets. They vanished very shortly after that.

Hmm... well I am confused now.. accoring to 2 websites, the Daily Passport started for the Magic Kingdom Club in 1981 and to the general public on January 10th, 1982 (my husband's 10th birthday! COOL!)

Why would that ticket that someone linked to on this site say 1978, and why would others here say they REMEBER A-E tickets after 1978??

I am so confused.... *sigh*

One Epcot was announced, I think they began to change over to the full day ticket. They realized they needed to have something Universal between the two parks.

Our first trip down in 1975, they had the A-E tix. We came down again in 1982 and we had the "passport" tix since we were staying at the Contemporary. By the time we can down again in 1984, I think they had changed over. But, again we stayed at the Contemporary so I might be wrong on the dates.
