Ticket Expiration Dates

If I buy park tickets online, are they good forever, but then have an expiration date from the first day I actually use them?

I'm probably not going to be going to Orlando until 2014, but I'm saving for the trip now. If I find a great deal on Universal tickets now, and I buy them, will they still be good 2 years from now? I'm pretty confident that holds true for WDW tickets but not so sure for Universal.

I looked all over the Universal website, but couldn't find anything that addressed this topic. It may certainly be there and I just missed it.

In case anyone is interested in the answer to this question, I filled out the contact info on the website, and one of their agents actually called me with the answer. The tickets CAN be purchased in advance, and the expiration clock doesn't start ticking until the first day of use. :)
