I am trying to decide if I should get an AP to get the discount off of the other 3 tickets that I need (and get the 10% off merchandise - I'd only be saving about $45 off my room - but I can imagine my kids will want a lot of HP stuff!) Every site I goes to tells me I am saving xxx off the gate price - but all of those are different.
Right now it looks like the Preferred Pass is $350 and gate tickets for a 2 park 3 day ticket are $275. With 15% off that makes them $234. Total is $700 (3 tickets) + $350 (AP) = $1050
Online through Universal those same tickets are $1019.
The different is $31, but I'll also be save $45 on my room. Plus, the 10% off of food and merchandise.
