When you buy tickets on Undercover Tourist, does the name on the shipping address have to be the name of the person using the ticket? I'm buying tickets for my mom and having them sent to my apartment.

One other question: when I got my wedding annual passes, we activated them at Disney World and they were valid for a year after that. Looking at the DVC annual pass, it says they're valid for a year from the purchase date. Is this correct? I was going to buy it in advance, but I'm not going til December.

This is from dvcmember.com - so as long as this is a first time purchase, not a renewal... then you are 365 days from the redemption date.

Note: The Pass is good for 365 days from the date of redemption. Renewals will be valid for 365 days from the original Pass Anniversary Date. Renewals can be purchased 60 days prior to or 30 days after the expiration date.

Nope, shipping address doesn't matter. I've bought tickets for others twice and had them shipped to me. You can create a profile for your mom on MDE and link the ticket in her name, but even then, it's transferable to anyone until it's used for the first time. Happy planning!

To answer your first question, the name involved with the purchase from a reseller has no bearing on who will use the ticket. They're not linked to someone until you either a) link it to the person's profile in MDE, or b) someone uses it to enter a park and it's linked to their biometric finger scan.

Thank you everyone! I bought the tickets and I'll be getting the AP soon! As a side note, OMG! An 8 day park hopper is $402 and the AP is $485. Why would any DVC member not just go for the AP?!
