Cool, Storybook Cirucs is open! :animwink:

Couple serious observations..

- They have started to put in the foundation for the water play area.
- They have started putting the side on the small tent.
- It looks like they have also started the foundation for the next section of castle wall. Guess they are going to work with the concrete that's already in that area instead of tearing it all out.

It's funny because I am almost always at MK for work, and I usually see his plane fly overhead, I am hoping to be in a picture one day!

Looking at the overhead, it appears there is empty space over by Barnstormer where they can fit in some more trees to block the Dumbo green show building from view...

I saw that too. And I think they will, once everything has been up and running for a little bit.

Perfect things to do during oft openings... test things out with guests, see what needs to be worked on over night and figure out what is just fine and is complete...

It seems like now that the majority of the work is on details, these aerials don't have much to see anymore. There just isn't much large change anymore. But I appreciate Scotts efforts. We gotta keep him around for those Avatarland aerials! :hammer:

The complexity of this project never ceases to amaze including the mine train.

~a different sort of march madness~

If you can see the Dumbo show building while you're actually on Dumbo, I wonder if they wouldn't be better off just painting it in stripes to match the rest of the tent?

AK is one of the worst places to take decent pictures, and I can't explain why. I suspect that project is going to be fairly boring to watch grow. We'll see.

As for details though, check these out just from this year. There's actually a lot going on :)

No way. The most anticipated part of the expansion has just finished the foundation and has gone aerial. I cannot wait to get aerials of the Mine Train as it is constructed through the next 1 1/2 years.

Now that the foundations are in I have no understanding of why it would take so long. Coaster installation is quick.

I agree. The most interesting aerial views will be the forthcoming ones as the puzzle is finished up. Much appreciated, Scott.

It was noted elsewhere that there is something going on between the circus tents that was not on the model. Hoping that is a base for newly-commissioned rockwork to hide the Mermaid showbuilding from the center of the circus.

whats actually funny, is that the Fantasyland Forrest entrance is basically right on top of the old Dumbo. I think if Disney was smart, when they put in the new cement in that area, they should have a small plaque or etching in the cement showcasing the original dumbo, like a drawing of it or something.

just a thought

also if you look directly behind the dumbo show buidling you can see a pretty cleared out area and dead looking trees, maybe they will plant new trees in that area or put up some Billboards in that area

No way, there's still so much going on! Great work, Scott!:sohappy:

And people are complaining that Disney isn't working hard enough on the details!
All that work for the narrow gap between the tents! Two or three trees could prob. have hidden the LM-showbuilding, but no, they're building a whole rock-wall!!!

I just wanted to say that I love the new tent coverings. I don't know why, They just look much better than the ones from Starland/Birthdayland/ToonTown Fair.

Maybe it's just because they're new and the old ones had faded after so many years...I hope these stay vivid or that they are replaced when they start fading.

Remember that is isn't just a bare track coaster. The indoor show scenes, and integration of the track into the landscapping is going to take a lot longer then just bolting together a steel coaster. We also have the keep in mind that there can be a big difference between how fast something CAN be built and how fast it actually DOES get build.
