Thoughts on The Plaza?

Gone there on every trip for past 40 years but will bypass this year. They changed up the menu and took my reuben off the menu.

WHATTTTT??? That was a good reuben. Guess I'll have to try something else . . . . .

The fries are good, reminiscent of the Figaro Fries at Pinocchio's Village Haus back in the day. Our experience has always been that they lag behind in the reservation time quite a bit, maybe half an hour or more. It's a small place.

We actually at there for lunch on Christmas day and were seated within 2 minutes of showing up!

As others have said, food was pretty good - we split 2 meals among 3 of us for about the price of eating QS and it was still more food than we needed.

It is like a good diner, but with a limited menu. not bad, but mostly sandwiches and burgers. My main complaint is most of the menu items are eat with your hands type food, and there is no bathroom in the place to wash your hands. I am far from a germaphobe, but after walking around the park, touching things that who knows what else has been on them, I want to wash my hands before eating a sandwich. Yes there is a bathroom just around the corner, but when it a bit of a pain, and in the rain it really stinks.

I had a mediocre experience. Asked to speak with the chef as I had dietary needs (low sodium). He could barely speak English and we had a hard time understanding each other. My meal was not at all what I wanted, but considering the language difficulty, it may have been exactly what he thought I asked for.

We ate dinner at the Plaza with low expectations but it was surprisingly good. That being said, the menu has been revamped since we went and it looks like the prices have gone up dramatically. Not sure it’s worth the price now tbh.
