Thoughts on Nick Holiday Inn or other hotels

We are visiting WDW Feb 13-16. We have two kids (2 & 5). We are looking for a clean hotel w/ heated pool, fridge & micro, and free brfst. Has anyone stayed at the Nickelodeon Holiday Inn? I found a room at Nick HI w/ kitchen for $100--while a good $$ for that hotel, I'm sure I can beat it elsewhere, but there are so many options. Can anyone narrow it down for me? We don't care if it is on or off site.
Also, with so many things closed or wall off at MK will it ruin the experience?
I have not been to MK in 20+ yrs and my family has never been. Any suggestions for a great trip on a tight budget? Thanks!

Sorry I don't have an answer to your question--we would like to stay there, as well and wonder if anyone has an opinion since they've opened as the Nickelodeon family suites. I am wondering how you got the rate of $100 per night--when were you travelling? Was that with some kind of discount?
