Thought on Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest DVD?

I can't wait either! I'm anxious to see the Kraken again! *plays Kraken theme on pipe organ*
But I'm right now crawling on my hands and knees to see a preview for the third movie right now. I'm dieing to see what it will look like! Chances are though, that we'll see a preview for it at comingsoon.net some time soon.

I also would love to see the "Dead Man Tell New Tales: Reimagineering the Ride" on what they did in Disneyland and WDW. 
Well, I heard there will be one hopefully.
Usually on two disk sets, all of the special features are on the second disk?
How did you get it so early though? Did you preorder and it was sent to you early?
I work at a video store so we got copies in early to rent out. I looked all in the previews and special features of the one disk dvd and did not see a preview for the third movie. Unless it is a hidden easter egg but that wouldn't make too much sense with the movie coming out in May.
But there are a ton of cool extras.That's strange.

It said it would have a preview of the third film. There must be some footage completed, since it comes out in less than six months! But then again, I can't find it on the link that post gave...unless it is an Easter Egg. We'll have to keep searching!

Ok, so I have been searching the internet trying to see if there's a sneak peek on the DVD and found out some info. I found out that they are probably going to re-release Dead Man's Chest with some footage of the third movie.
This kind of makes me mad, but oh well...

Love the DVD but this is the last time we preorder at the Disney store. The wife ordered it along with Cars DVD and much to my dismay the version we got was the one disk version. When I asked about the two disk version they said that they would not be getting those. The same thing happened when we preordered The Incredibles. The only version they got in was the full screen version and not the wide screen version. Oh well looks like someone will be getting the one disk version of PotC for Christmas this year.

I've still got some bonus things to watch on the 2nd disk, but the mini recap of the Pirate ride rehab was really cool. They showed some of the design and concept that went into the rehab and showed how they built and programmed the Sparrow animatronics. Check it out if you get the two disk version.
The documentary on the making of the movie is also very interesting. I can't imagine how stressful it must have been for Gore Verbinski to be scheduling a complex shooting schedule with no script less than 2-3 months out.

I found the easter eggs, but none of them had any trailers on them. However, in a few of the documentaries, you can see some clippings in Gore Verbenski's office that look suspiciously like they might be fore the third movie.

In the making of the movie, there are some water seens where you can see ships just floating around, and a couple feature an asian/south pacific boat, as both films were shot simultaneously. Also when Gore says that's a wrap Keira Knightley is exiting the ship in what looks like an asian dress or wardrobe...those seemed to be the only hints to the 3rd film.
As for watching Dead Man's Chest again....i loved it even more!:sohappy:

Yeah, in the documentaries, there is a scene where they are wrapping up filming, and there is the back view of Geoffery Rush (aka Barbossa).
I am surprised there was no sneek peek of the new movie. It comes out in May.
The new Harry Potter trailer is already out, and that comes out July 13th!
I can't really see them though coming out with a new "Special Edition" DVD so quickly though. They usually come out with those only if they need to promote the sequel that comes out a few years after the original.
But still, it is a great DVD. Very detailed. Does anyone know where the Easter Eggs are? There were tons of the first Pirates movie DVD.
Anyone else bummed thought that there are no Deleted Scenes? I thought there would be a ton of them. Oh well....
Maybe there are still hidden scenes and previews of the third movie waiting to be discovered!
By the way, just curious, where did you all buy your version?
I personally like getting it at Best Buy. It may have been a little more expensive, but it came with a third disc, with cool featurettes. While I was there I decided to get the exclusive Capt. Jack Sparrow Bobblehead too.
