I basically stopped the fast food route during the Pandemic. No super reason or noble cause, it just doesn't appeal to me anymore. (However, I will make an exception the next time MickeyD's has the McRib) All our places are wide open now, so no required drive up. The last time I actually sat in a McDonalds was just minutes before or during the restriction. As I was sitting there having a Quarter Pounder w/Cheese they started putting up the yellow tape closing the seating area in March 2020. I had to do a modified Limbo just to leave the place. Once in a great while I will get a craving for a Sausage Burrito or an Egg McMuffin, but I can make the later right at home.
I also moved into my new senior apartments on that same day. The apartment building has a lot of Amenities like pool, exercise room, common areas internal and external, large community rooms with kitchens so if someone wants to have a big family or friend get-together with food it is there. Also a hair salon for both men and women. So I moved in, locked my front door and when I woke up the next morning all of that was shut down. I'm on the second floor and most of the Amenities are either on the 3rd or 4th floor. So two weeks ago I ventured off the 2nd floor for the first time in 15 months after I moved in.
