This might be a weird question. ..

Does anybody know if there is any Disney photopass phographers by the Haunted Mansion? I know they have one by the carriage at Halloween time, but what about normal days? I only ask because I'm going to propose to my girlfriend in February and didn't just want to go to the normal spots everyone else does it at. And I really want it caught on camera for the memories. I thought it would be cute and kind of funny to do it at the mansion though.

We were there in November and no photographers there but I have spotted adhoc on other visits. Maybe you could ask a guest to take a photo and propose? Or a cast member might be able to get someone over there if you let them know. Maybe speak to someone when she goes to a rest room? They are always willing to help so I am sure you could sort something out. Good luck and we will all expect the full details and photo. Or just had a thought there might be a WDW magic friend who may be visiting at the same time who I am sure would help you out!

Not usually a photo pass persons there, best thing to do would contact disney and I'm sure they would have great suggestions. My hubby proposed in front of the castle with a photo pass photographer catching it all, I love having the photos :)

I was thinking about the castle or the rose garden too. Or maybe the wishing well at Epcot, but I was gonna try and do it somewhere where a million people haven't already done it. Not that it matters either way, doing it at Disney is pretty awesome no matter how or where. :)

I'd contact Disney, too. They might give (or sell) you a photographer.

I saw a guy propose during the boring part of illuminations once. I thought that was wonderful. Kills the time during the boring part and then you get fireworks right after the couple agrees to marry. :)

That's a good idea too! I'm most probably just going to do it at the castle or the rose garden cause we're gonna be at MK the first day. I'm still going to take a good hard look at the map still and see if there's any other spot I like better. I could still do it at the mansion and for go the photo op, but I really like the idea of having it caught on film. (Or Digitally in today's case) :)

I did it a few weeks in the Rose Garden with the castle lit up for the background for video/pics. My fiancé loved it! Best part was they had the photo pass photographer there but also 2 other CMs to help with the line for the pic and I was able to get one of them to video with my phone so we got a video and photos of it.

That's awesome!! I was wondering how to go about holding up the photo line while trying to do this. I know the attendance isn't that great in February, but I don't think anyone else that's there on their vacation gives two craps about me proposing, they want their pic and want to move on with their lives. Lol
