I was reading the Orlando Sentinel today and came across an article about the execs at Universal Orlando. I found out the president of UO, Bob Gault, last year made $3 million. Now thats not bad, but what shocked me was what I read next, he got that after a 266%, yes, that is a percent sign, and yes that is 3 digits, raise. This was part of GE's incentive package to get Universal to make money. I was just curious how this compares to Al Weiss' salary. I also found out that for the first quarter Universal Orlando's earnings were up to just about $18 million, but the ended up losing just about $9 million because they spend most of their money for stuff like adversising for the year in the first quarter. Ok, just thought I would let you all know.

Thanks for the info, Universal is getting more and more of my business. This year I have already been down their twice and getting ready to stop down again in Sep. I usually go to Orlando onces a year for 10 days, spend 8 at Disney and 2 at USF. This year I don't plan on Visiting Disney at all, mainly because I am waiting for Everest to open. What is some what ironic, because Universal is only a two day destination, I have found myself taking an extended weekend each quarter to Universal. Universal's AP is priced very well priced and the benefits of staying onsite with a discount makes it so easy to visit. I guess this is one of those strange instances where Disney's large size reduce the attrictiveness of visiting. I don't want to go to Disney unless I can spend at least a week there. My business with Universal went from 2 days a year to 12 days a year this year.
