Thinking about going to UO/IOA for Christmas

Traditionally I've been taking the family to Disney World for about a week around Christmas time for the past few years, but I'm strongly considering going to IOA/UO/SW this time around. I've been to all three parks in the past as a kid...around 12 years ago, and had a decent enough time. I understand both companies mad significant changes to the park. My question is, is there enough to do to keep us occupied for 4 or 5 days between the 3 parks?

I think so.

Universal Orlando is a great resort and destination and can be completed in about 3 days if you make the most of your time! If you stay on-site, your room-key will instantly become an Express Pass for select attractions. The hotels are beautiful and staying on-site gives you close access to City Walk, Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios.

You should devote your first day to either Islands of Adventure or Universal Studios. The next day you should spend exploring the park you haven't visited yet. The final day you could spend park-hopping between the two, re-riding your favorite attractions and you could also relax at the hotel, explore City Walk, or even explore the other hotels! (which is actually pretty fun!) You really can't go wrong with Universal Orlando and that's already 3 days!

You're last day you could head over to SeaWorld and do the whole park. If you want to extend your vacation to 5 days, you could explore Aquatica!

Also, if you go during the right time, they've had Mannheim Steamroller performing on select evenings after the Macy's Christmas Parade at USF the last few years. I've heard Grinchmas is really good as well, but I usually go over to Studios early for Mannheim when I go during the Christmas season, so I've yet to see it.

Between Universal's parks plus Christmas stuff, then SeaWorld's very fun and surprisingly good Christmas event, I think 4 or 5 days of a vacation is easy to fill. If you find yourself wanting to do a little more, you could always look at ICE at the Gaylord.
