Things you send ahead from amazon.com

Just wondering what travelers send ahead with amazon.com for their room / trip? We leave in 1 week and wondering if I can get any suggestions! Thanks!

Don't forget some TP. Disney's, even at a Deluxe, is one step above sandpaper. You didn't indicate which resort you are staying at. If you're going to ship a box of cereal, I would add some disposable bowls, plates, utensils and cups, and if available, a single roll of paper towels (or just throw one in your luggage). That way you have everything you need for a quick breakfast in your room and something to eat leftovers on/with. Hopefully you will be staying in a moderate or value family suite that includes a coffee maker. I don't understand why all Values don't have coffee makers. I'm sure Disney purchases them in bulk on contract so isn't paying retail like you or me.

Another thought. I gather you are flying, so luggage space is a premium. Anything that you don't want to have to make space for, but will consume at Disney - think sunscreen, extra diapers and the like, I would include in that Amazon order. The food courts have milk & juice for breakfast. We, after our first trip experiencing the zoo that is the resort food court at breakfast, now eat in our room.

Enjoy your trip!

If the kids still needed diapers and wipes, I'd certainly send those ahead. Ditto if we were wedded to a particular beverage and needed to have a large supply on hand.

Since the kids are out of diapers and we are happy to rely on in-room coffee and free iced water for the week, we send ahead...nothing. We don't even check any luggage. We fit everything we need for a week (all clothes, shoes, meds, toiletries, autograph books, phone and camera chargers, breakfast cereal, snacks, disposable picnicware, etc.) into one 21" carryon for each person. Things the four of us might need on the plane (electronics, extra snacks, reading materials, sunglasses, wallet, etc.) go in our personal items (e.g., tote bag for me, backpack for DH). Sometimes, if luggage space is tight, I do bring an empty laundry bag and a sample-size container of detergent so we can pack fewer clothes and do a quick load of laundry on our mid-week afternoon at the pool, but those four small pieces of luggage and 2 personal items hold everything we bring -- and other than milk for our cereal, we've never needed to buy anything additional on site.

Sent diapers, wipes, and baby food for my 1 yr old last august. In addition to this I sent munchie type stuff (goldfish, animal crackers, Cheerios) and a little bottle of dish soap to clean out sippy cups. After a week in the hot weather those things get gross and hand soap just doesn't do the job.

I've often wondered how many guests do things like this; having items (whether Amazon or just items from home) shipped to their WDW resort. If it's a large number I'd be curious how much it costs Disney in labor and storage space to keep track of all of these items, to keep them secure and try to re-unite them with the intended guest. If it's a large number of guests doing this, that has to have some impact on the cost of running the hotel and as a result, the rates that are charged.
Just curious.
