Things I would like to see Disney release (or re-release)

I know that the top of this list would obviously be Song of the South for most people. And I, too, would like to see that re-mastered and released in Blu-Ray format (even if they did feel like they had to include a Leonard Maltin introduction explaining that it was made in the 1940s...).

But I actually intend this thread to be for other rare things. Maybe Disney is paying attention and might release (or re-release) them on video in some form or another. Or, something listed here might already be available and we can help each other find it. I used to love the "Disney Treasures" series. They had amazing content.

I for one would like to see the Disney Christmas special that Walt Disney did as his first television program, which helped later to pave the way for the "Disneyland" weekly show (forerunner to "The Wonderful World of Color" and "The Wonderful World of Disney".)

I also liked Night Crossing, which was an amazing movie from the eighites.

Anyone else have something you would like to see them release?

There's a motherlode of episodes from the Sunday series WITH THE WALT intros. Any would be great, along with the early specials like what you mentioned. From later stuff- the opening of WDW in '71 or any of the subsequent park specials. These alone would fill a hefty dvd/blu-ray set. From Disney Channel- "House of Mouse", "Disney Family Album" would be great starts.

Did you purchase the volume of the "Walt Disney Treasures" series called, "Your Host, Walt Disney"? That had a good number of the ones in which he appeared for a good length of time throughout the episode. I am sure that it is still available on Amazon or some other online retailer.

I have the whole set of Disney Treasures. It's amazing what some of them are being advertised for on Ebay. They are a much-missed annual addition to my Disney video library. They were wonderful...and so incomplete in some ways.

I don't think it's too much to ask for Disney to release the classic shorts from the earlier part of last century on Blu ray. One volume for Mickey, one for Donald, Goofy etc...
