Thermostat Troubles

Currently staying at beach club. The thermostat hack/override isn’t working and maintenance says they won’t override it anymore. They replaced the air filters and did some maintenance but it didn’t help. So the air shuts off at night and rooms get REALLY hot and humid.

Is there a new hack that works? It’s wild that I’m staying at a $700 hotel in Florida and they won’t let us run the air conditioner overnight. WTH Disney!?

You try a helium balloon in front of a duct?

Our thermostat is on the opposite side of the room from the fan unfortunately :/

Thanks for the suggestion though! That’s a good idea!

Yup. Not just Beach but all the deluxe resorts. Had this happen last year on aJanuary trip staying in Contemporary Garden wing. It didn't start out hot but the heat didn't work when it was cold and then as the weather warmed up, didn't work at night with the a/c. Tried the overrides and nothing. I think this might be a case of the less expensive hotels might be better. I remember going to All Star sports years ago and the ac/heat was a unit by the window that you could control without motion detectors. I don't know if that's still the case, but I'd much rather have that option as opposed to this awfulness.
