Theme Park Operations

Hey,
anyone have good information/video on what exactly the Theme park operations people do? Are they the people you always see walking around the park in business casual (not really a suit but dressed up more than all the other CM's with just a little pin thing sometimes clipped to their belt.)

Is that them? I've always thought theme park operations sounded interesting...I am going to school for an IT related field (still considered business though, and I have to take all the management courses too....they told me a double major in management would be worthless though) But I thought that something at Disney might be cool....especially in either this mythical "Park operations" or dealing with the massive information systems I assume it takes to run the resort (Fastpass, guest entrance gate systems, etc)

and I am guessing that isn't really imagineering as it's more day-to-day stuff...
thanks!

Operations = Attractions, Main Entrance, Vacation Planning, Custodial, and Guest Relations.

The people wearing business casual in these areas are the Managers.

Those that work with Fastpass operation, or the more strategic planning, have typically worked in Operations for a couple of years and are promoted to those roles.
