Theme Park Guest Relations - Reserved Tickets

So, for our upcoming trip we're using some complimentary park hopper tickets Disney gave us for all of our troubles last trip. The email from the Disney associate that handled all of this for us directs us to Theme Park Guest Relations locations OR guest relations in DTD to get our tickets... and told us what info we'd need to provide (pretty simple stuff- or so it seems).

Does anyone have any experience with this? If so...Is it relatively cut & dry? Have they been able to add the tickets to your KTTW card? I'm also trying to figure out exactly where I'm going. Would this be the same area I would have gone to for getting our MVMCP tickets that we'd bought in advance? i.e. in the case of MK...just outside of the park? I just have this horrible fear of showing up and having them have problems.

I went to guest relations in DTD to exchange our vouchers for annual passes. They were not added to our room keys but it was a relatively easy process. Just had to show ID and pick what character we wanted on our cards. Our tickets worked fine but my aunt's did not the next day. DTD Guest Relations is by Ghirardelli.

I hope it's an easy process for us like you guys had with your APs. I don't know how common the whole complimentary ticket thing is, so I just fear getting someone who has no clue. I think we're going to try the exterior guest relations at MK on day 1 and if that doesn't go well...head to DTD on day 2 after breakfast. It would be great if they could figure out a way to have it on our cards (or bands if those are instituted by that time), but I guess I can't really gripe too much as it will save us $967.04- well, more actually when prices go up. Just kind of bothersome that I can't square this away before travel. Oh well.

FYI, the CMs at Guest Relations are generally a lot more experienced than CMs in other positions in WDW, mainly because they only take transfers into those positions with a minimum of 6 months at Disney.

As long as you show up with the information the previous CM gave you, you'll be fine. The CM at Guest Relations won't be able to put your tickets on your room keys, but the Lobby Concierge desk back at your hotel *should* be able to after you've picked them up. (Not 100% sure though, because I've never read anyone post about putting Comp tickets on room keys. Maybe you could come back and post on here so we'll know in the future) Worst-case scenario you just have two tickets to juggle during your trip.

We had a couple of days with a multitude of ride breakdowns, so I wrote to them post trip. They traced our park attendance/rides with our KTTW cards/trip confirm info and found that we did in fact encounter an exceptional level of ride problems. This was coupled with some really poor service levels at YC. So, they offered me 2 days of no-expiration hoppers for the four of us for our troubles. I just can't imagine that they give away much in the way of free tickets...so naturally, I'm a bit nervous about trying claim them. I probably should hold them longer with the no expiration and all, but I also worry it will be harder to claim them if I wait too long...since systems can change and things get lost.

I actually have 2 cakes planned for this trip. I have a preliminary sketch of the big one and an inspiration cake for the smaller one, but I have to get past my next client cake before I can mess around with serious sketches for the respective chefs.

That makes me feel much better. I suppose we're pretty lucky folks if our greatest inconvenience could be carrying around two tickets...that were complimentary. I will also share the outcome upon our return.

I'm glad it's going to work out for you. We are having a cake the first full day as well (July 1 at 1900 park Fare). Can't wait.
