The world building of this story

So basically this story takes place about 50 years in the future. About 40 years ago, 2 universes combined and we were discovered by a space faring empire. They conquered earth and earth is now a part of their empire. There are several resistance groups but the one we will be focusing on is the Southern Vanguard, a resistance group in the southern United States that is primarily based in Florida. Our protagonist the shadow reaper is one of the highest ranking generals in this resistance. He for a time tried to blend in but eventually got caught and that was basically the end of the Valentine’s Day special.

The Southern Vanguard

The southern vanguard was established in the year of 2048 after the first 10 years of the United States being occupied. They are one of strongest resistance groups in the entire world, not really due to their numbers or their technological expertise which they do both have, but mainly due to their spirit and their determination. The south was never really fully occupied by the avalonians unlike the west coast. Their tactics and generals are also another reason why the resistance is so powerful, their tactics are very unpredictable and their generals are competent since the generals are some of the best in the country, unlike the avalorians. The dream of the southern vanguard is too reestablish the United States and liberate the world.​
