The Wave at Cali Grill closed this morning 8/5

We got to the Contemporary to check in for our breakfast and they informed us it would not be open due to "unforseen circumstances."

I'm curious if anyone knows what's up.

They offered to seat us at Chef Mickey's for 20% off, so I guess we take what we can get.

Chef Mickey’s wouldn’t be close to experiencing California Grill’s atmosphere at The Wave’s breakfast prices. Sorry that happened to you.

I’d hope they could also offer breakfast on a different date, if this happens again. We have a booking in September and would be pretty ticked off if this happens.

Most likely either an issue with kitchen equipment or didn’t have enough labor to operate properly. Was there the other day and a lot of the servers had been pulled from other locations. I’d probably go with option one. With all the construction going on someone probably hit a pipe or gas line or something.

There have been elevator issues, but not sure if that was the cause on that day.
