hey...i am ordering the walt disney world explorer first edition from eBay. I was wondering if it will work with Windows XP Service Pack 2. I know the second edition works perfectly for me, but im not sure about the original.

Always difficult to say - XP can be awkward and unpredictable at times - but I had no problems

do you think if i used the compatability wizard found in the help center of XP and set it to run The Explorer as if it was Windows 95, that it would work?

Certainly worth a try. Have you tried it yet? It may be that you dont even need to - but if you do have problems, then that is always a good place to start.

I put it in a machine with xp-sp2 and it didn't work...

I had problems with my version of the explorer (not sure if its 1 or 2) but did the compatibility wizard and it was okay. Not neccessarily win95 or 98, but sometimes NT works best depending on the program.

It was an old program that was kind of like a WDW tour guide. You can click on the attractions and other features of WDW and it would give you information and trivia about them.

I have just installed WDW Explorer 2 on a Windows XP Professional with SP2 computer and it works fine with no problems!! Hopefully it will work with Windows Vista when it comes out!!
