Who else here is an extreme fan of the Disney shorts? Black and white Mickey to 50s Donald.
While I own every single WD Treasures (a GREAT way to collect, although they are not complete . . . grr) AND stacks of Vault Disney videos, why aren't these classic pieces of art on the Disney Channel or TOON Disney? Heck, don't we get POWER RANGERS on one of the Disney-owned stations? And then Sister Sister and the 700 Club. . . but where is the Mickey and Donald and Chip'n'Dale we've all learned to love? No room for the Disney, eh?
And while the Treasures are excellent, it almost gives the shorts a sense of decease. . . something that no longer lives on to entertain, but merely something for the fan collect. No longer "living."
ANYWAY. . . my first question is - on Mouse Tracks (one of the original Disney Channel shorts shows), why did Disney include FLEISCHER shorts? (Fleischer was Walt Disney's primary 30s animation competitor, who went on to create Bettie Boop and Popeye). Shorts like "Humpty Dumpty" and "Dreamland" showed up on this program. . . and I always wonder why Disney included them.
So feel free to post your favorite animated shorts/discuss/whatnot.
My list of favorite shorts includes Donald's Applecore, Goofy's Glider, Der Fuehrer's Face, Symphony Hour, Trailer Horn, and Puppy Love.![Smile :) :)](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f642.png)
