Good Evening All.Well we all know how much walking is involved in a WDW vacation and if your doing a 14 day it is important to what you wear foot wear.We always wear sandals,Merrell or Karribou, about $80-100 .but never wear trainers or socks. What do you wear in the WDW trek?

Nike Vomero. This shoe saves my life, its a show from Nike made for walking, great padding and everything. They are also extremely light and very well ventilated, which is awesome.

Everyone has a different arch and specific way their foot hits the ground, so generally I go to a store what will measure your foot and pick the perfect shoe for you. We have a local store called The Running Zone that does this. You spend more $$$ but at the same time you get a shoe that will help you avoid back and hip pain.

These things I've learned through 2 knee surgeries and 2 stage 3 herniated disks in my spine.

Columbia trail hiking shoes. My current ones are the "Kaibab" model. They breathe nicely and are water resistant. If they do get wet they drain and dry quickly. Excellent traction in the dirt and on wet surfaces (no slipping during the 4:30pm cloudburst).

I also have a pair of Oakley sandals. I wear them around the resorts and DTD. Carry them into the parks in my pack as a backup. They have a rubber sole with a neoprene cushion. Bought them several years ago. The best match I could find in the current line are the "Hypercoil" model.

I just discovered Ecco sandals. They are Teva looking and I love the Yukatan model. So comfortable. I alternate between those and my FitFlops brand sandals and never have sore legs or feet. Although I am on my feet all day at work, I usually get shin splints after a day or two at WDW...but not anymore with the Ecco and the FitFlops. They have great arch and heel support, for my feet anyway. This last trip, I also took a pair of New Balance trainers with a great arch support and well ventilated. They did okay, I worked them in the rotation a couple of times.

I wear my normal everyday sandals to the parks. They are broken in and there is no risk of blisters with them.

I just picked up a pair of these. Worked great. Did a few miles of walking in them before we went though.

I am not a runner but when it comes to sneaks for Disney I always pick a running for the most comfort. It depends on your foot and what works best for you, I have a slender and very narrow foot and love the way Puma fits my foot. My DH has a wider flatter foot and always goes with Asics, sometimes Nike. I am not gonna lie, when my dogs are barking after a few days I might rock Crocs and socks for a break. And when my feet just want to breathe for a day I love my Reef sandals. Shoe choice makes all the difference, I do like to have a couple options because I feel it helps to switch them out.

Last year I alternated between adidas flip flops and a pair of leather Office sandals. Some years I take a pair of light pumps. Whenever I take trainers I don't wear them as they're too warm, I like plenty of air round my feet!!
