The two-day situation

Although it's up-in-the-air if we will go or not (mostly leaning towards "yes"), me and my family are thinking of heading to Disney soon. But here's the thing--we'll only be spending two days in the park (one at Magic Kingdom, one at Epcot), and we'll be staying off-site. So, here's the question: I really would like to start reserving FP+ times, but since you can't really reserve until you link your park tickets to MDE, how can you?

I plan to score tickets online, but can you link them to your account as soon as you purchase them? Someone even suggested I wait till we get to the parks to link the tickets, but I would like to reserve times for things like the Anna and Elsa meet & greet and the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and those sell out like hotcakes. So, what should I do?

You need to link a valid ticket before you can make FP+ selections. You can link a ticket as soon as you purchase it, but as an off-site guest you cannot make FP+ reservations until 30 days before you visit. If you make your MK choices on Day 30, you need to wait until the following day to make your Epcot choices.

If you are less than 30 days from visiting the parks, buy your ticket ASAP, link it and make your FP+.

Thanks for the info, my friend. But I have another question: does Disney send you the ticket ID in an email or something, because I noticed that one of the ways to link your tickets is through entering the ID. Or do you wait till the tickets are sent to you?

If you buy them while logged into Your MDE account they will automatically be linked once your purchase is complete. But yes you will get an email with the number to use to link them if it does not automatically link like it should. :)

If you buy them through a 3rd party seller, then you should request the ticket numbers from the reseller and you can link them right away.
