Good Morning Everyone..Last night at my local ( just a couple of beers ) I had to open my big mouth and tell my neighbour of my 2015 Disney plan..He was there last year for the first time with his wife and three kids, but is desperate to get back..I told him of the offer of AKL compared to PORS ( he also stayed there last year ) But like lots of other people in the UK,times are hard.Anyway, enough of my dribble, let's get to my question...To many people who have only dreamed of a vacation to WDW..What in your opinion makes this vacation a trip of a lifetime..???....Sorry if I've asked a similar question here, but there was a postman sitting next to me last night who was in Disneyland Paris last year and wasn't impressed..I told him WDW is where you should have went..So what's the answer???

we started our disney journey with trips to DLP back in the early noughties then decided to upgrade to a visit to WDW in 2008, now in 2013 we are going on our 5th disney world trip we haven't looked back since. It's not that DLP is bad it's far from it (I actually prefer DLP space mountain to WDW:eek:). I can't actually say its any one thing maybe its the size as there are only two parks and the village (small version of DTD) or if you go in the winter months it will be cold and wet, but hey it's disney who cares. Seriously though for us Brits it could be a cost thing a few days at DLP can come pretty close to the same amount as two weeks in sunny all year round florida.

Anyway when we go to florida its not all disney all the time even though we stay onsite (so much better than offsite IMHOP). We love to visit the other theme parks and go to the malls to go shopping.

So all in all a florida holiday isn't just a disney holiday but it's a pretty big part of ours.

Your so right..The postman said that it cost him and his wife with two kids £2900 for one week at DLP.:jawdrop:..But as you said, there is more to Florida than just WDW...I do tell first timers that its a good idea to visit other things like Sea World and Universal & Islands..and of course the shopping malls:eek:..Put that plastic back in your purse Mrs Hatter..

Couldn't imagine a trip halfway round the world to not include UNI and SW o_O

This year will be our first time back at universal since '08. Not really fancied it after what we can only describe as meh when we were there last. But after looking at other sites getting rather pumped for this visit. Already told rest of family leave me in Springfield and i'll see you at the end of the day. Gotta give some love to busch gardens though that place is good. Only place we aren't visiting this time will be legoland. So many places so little time.

Actually it's only an 1/6. Not half way..:p..Earth being just under 25.000 miles in circumference, and Florida being just over 4000 miles from the UK..( Ok.Smart  ) Who me ?..Yes you Hatter..:(..Sorry..:grumpy:.Your forgiven...:D...Apart from that..Ive seen Shamu twice..And not a big fan of Universal/Islands as I've done it three times..

Always start at WDW, and any Disney vacation that I have is 100% Disney, I want to get on property and never leave...that includes going back home actually:(...I have no need to leave the property, no interest in SW or Uni, because I want to be in the bubble, where my only responsibility is making my next ADR.:hungry:
