According to the Orlando Theme Parks News blog, the Triceratops Encounter is finally returning to Islands of Adventure! :D The site also has pictures of the visible work being done to the attraction.

It is wonderful to see the Jurassic Park land finally get some love! I'm excited for it's return, and I'm hoping that the AA's will be working top notch, and maybe even better than before! :) This attraction was always fun in my opinion, and I've definitely missed it since its closure.

Great news! Guess they finally realized that compared to the other lands of IoA, Jurassic Park is a little short on things to see and do.

I am glad that it is likely to be returning as well.

Jurassic Park needs that extra "Zoo for Dinosaurs" feel. JPRA has the dangerous side and Discovery Center has the good backdrop for it. Trike Encounter was the perfect trail that just totally made you feel there.

The big reason they probably know they have to add this is the holiday overflow this year. Holiday Season at the parks plus Holiday Season with brand new Area of Potter right nearby...they are going to need to expand the capacity potential of the park.

Its a great win and glad to see money going back into other attractions!

I wish they would open up the Pteranodon Flyers to adults. The rule they have is ridiculous:

"Note: This attraction is designed for children 36" to 56" in height. Guests over 56" in height must be accompanied by a child meeting the 36" height requirement."

Sooo, they can clearly fit adult riders on the ride, but they choose to limit the attraction to only adults that have a child with them.

If you want a tip to bypass that (its not fullproof since nothing is) but get there at park opening and go straight there. It bypasses that rule since the rule was made for the very low capacity of the ride.
