#1 Monsieur Paul
#2 La hacienda de San Angel
#3 le Cellier
#4 Via Napoli

#21 Nine dragons
#22 Liberty Inn
#23 electric Umbrella

I do agree with Monsieur Paul but I don't think they should have included it because the cost is so prohibitive.
I do agree with the pizza at Via Napoli, it's good.
Le Cellier I have mixed feelings about, I love the soup but I don't go to a steak joint for the soup and I felt the steaks where very overrated.
Agree with nine dragons being at the bottom. it's just regular chinese take out. nothing inventive about it.

IMO, Marrakesh is definitely several cuts above 2,3, and 4 here, in both food quality and service. YMMV. I can't speak to Monsieur Paul as I have not been since it was Bistro de Paris, but I understand that the menu and er. . .French "approach" to service isn't going over fabulously with all diners. Too many bad reviews to consider Le Cellier that high, but again this is one I have not been to in a while. I think the thing with Le Cellier (and Yachtman's to a degree), is that you sit many people in front of any steak dinner and they call the experience a great meal regardless of anything else. At least we've finally figured out that San Angel really does suck, in hopes that they finally fix what could be a great restaurant.

I think answers are going to be all over the place because 1. personal preferences vary so much 2. the restaurants are very inconsistent.

#3 and #4 are the ones that stand out to me since we feel both are heavily overrated based on our experiences. In the case of Via Napoli, our pizzas were ridiculously soggy and shockingly stingy on toppings. In the case of Le Cellier, Disney can call it a signature restaurant, but the steak quality is on par with a mid range steakhouse and in our last visit, the couldn't even get medium rare right. I know others come out of both places with raves, while some are on the same page as us. Some may be our preferences, but some is just that many Disney restaurants are incapable of providing consistent quality. Even between us, we can't agree on something things. While not best meal of my life, I really enjoyed Spice Road Table and DH did not. So, that's personal preferences for you.

I just can't eat at Le Cellier anymore - knowing I can take a right at International Gateway and be at Yachtsman in a few minutes.

Pretty much don't agree with any of the places. The biggest "Oh no!!!!" is Le Cellier to me. It doesn't belong anywhere near the top 10 IMO. I also don't love Biergarten that much. The food was worse than Electric Umbrella every time we've been to each, though it's a buffets and buffets are never really great.

We are flying out for my wife's bday next month just for La Cellier, we ate at both La Cellier and Yachtsmen last Thanksgiving and really prefer La Cellier more

We were just at Epcot this past February and 6 of us ate at Le Cellier and we all loved it. Even the kids macaroni and cheese was amazing. My only issue was that even though we had reservations, they still made us wait about 20 minutes to be seated and it wasn't very busy. Not a huge deal, just more of an inconvenience when you have 2 small kids. I have heard great things about Monsieur Paul but I wouldn't hesitate to go back to Le Cellier.

Have you eaten there in the last 2 or 3 years? They went through a pretty drastic menu change a few years ago, and it has been MUCH better lately.

Sorry this list is bad, Nine Dragons should be #1.
Sorry...I agree with the list. I never understood why Nine Dragons gets such high marks. To me and my wife, it offers the same food as our local Chinese restaurant for a slightly cheaper price. When we go to WDW, we want to try something different and not what I can get from down the street.

Like a steak house, pizza/ Italian place, and a Mexican restaurant ;)

Since moving to Charlotte 4 years ago, we still haven't found a great Italian restaurant. Pizza - no I make my own pizza dough and pizza so I only have myself to blame. We don't have great French restaurants or pubs here which is why when we go to WDW we dine at Rose & Crown and Raglan Roads and Monsieur Paul if we are celebrating something. We have a German restaurant here that has been voted multiple years in the top ten in the U.S. but they don't have an oompah band which is why we go to Biergarten Restaurant. We also don't have restaurants around here that don't serve Pacific Northwest which is why we love going to Artist Point. Never eaten Mexican at WDW as we have really good Mexican here. We also have really good non-chain steak houses here which is why we don't usually go to a steak place in WDW. We do love Boma because no African food here.

Disagree with the list but my tastes and preferences NEVER agree with the food critics or travel sites reviews. But thats OK because I always book the places that I enjoy the most and am happy when I've eaten. I'll occasionally retry a restaurant if I havent been back for a while and read a few exceptional reviews just to give them another shot. Most of the times I found things haven changed that much to alter my original thinking.

No I have not. I've avoided the place like the plague, waiting for some positive experiences to come out of there with some consistency. Good to hear that you've had some decent meals there lately. Hopefully, they've made some desperately needed changes and have something to build on.

I never understood why Nine Dragons gets such high marks.

Disclaimer -I don't claim to be some sort of experienced food critic or acclaimed chef who is the end-all, be-all, of all things culinary.

That said, I think it's important to try to identify certain. . .trends, when it comes to Disney restaurant reviews. Rule #1 for me, is to be totally conscious of the fact that the average American at least, has a very simple and inexperienced palate. Add a bunch of salt and fat or stylize it "Buffalo" or "fried" and you've got yourself three stars regardless of anything else. I almost can't believe the random questions people ask about food at Disney (not on this particular forum, for the most part) for dishes like macaroni and cheese, chicken nuggets, etc. I saw recently where someone was asking if they could get General Tso chicken at Nine Dragons. For the most part, "reviews" are much less objective assessments of quality, creativity, and execution and far more about the personal preferences of the masses.
