I was at the MK on Saturday. We were watching the last performance of CSS(see above)which by the way is cool at night cause they use the lights and stuff on the castle. Half way throught the performance, when the evil queen comes up from the stage, you the green flares went up, you could hear her talking, cinderella came out onto the castle, and then....NOTHING. THe music cut off for like 10 seconds, the characters just stood there, Cinderella slowly ducked behind where she is stripped by the queen. Then the "we're sorry but this performance is cancelleed come on". THen everyone just stood around for like a minute thinking the show was going to continue. All the characters were gone. It was really funny actually. Does anyone know what could've happened. I think the thing where the queen comes up got stuck and she couldn't come out b/c if it's not working she just comes up the stairs. OH well.

FOX should put on a show similar to "When animals Attack". Instead it would be "When Disney Goes Wrong". Unfortunately these things do happen. As long as no one gets hurt.

LMAO! I haven't seen one just like that... although I do recall seeing a couople of shows were everything was going perfectly, no bad weather, seems like no problems at all... and then the show just stops at the end of a musical number, they play the little end theme and all the characters scattered. That one had me stumped, LOL. Probably just some kind of technical difficulty.

One time I was leaving the MK, and it was during the princess part where Snow White comes and starts singing "Some Day My Prince Will Come" and then all of a sudden, it started pouing rain! It was funny!

Hahah! Show-stopping errors like that can be disappointing, but they're almost always hilarious. This is reminiscent of my first -- and only -- experience of "Poseidon's Fury" at Universal Studio's Islands of Adventure. My Disney/Universal Team had waited in line for quite a while, but the show eventually began. Despite our funny, quirky (and somewhat grating) tour guide who nervously lead us from room to room, we weren't extremely impressed by the first portion of the attraction. Actually, I'm not entirely sure about our response to the attraction; we went years ago. I vaguely remember that the tour's objective was to locate a missing professor? Anyway, I do recall some neat effects, and the show's finale was much more memorable.

The final scene involved incredible water effects, a bunch of projected images, fire, explosions, and dramatic music. Now, I can't be certain whether the ride had all this, except for the dramatic music. Once the finale began, all the lights shut off, and the crowd could see absolutely nothing. We only heard the ride soundtrack and saw an occasional projected image. We were indeed bewildered, as it took a while for us to realize that the attraction was seriously malfunctioning.

Here's the best part -- at the end of all this, our tour guide was equally confused. The lights came back on, revealing the detailed scenery of the final show -- which we missed. Another employee came into the room, and yelled to our tour guide unconvincingly, "We found the professor!" Our tour guide paused, looked around the room awkwardly, and responded, "... Oh!" Then he rushed out the door immediately.

 That's probably the weirdest. Sometimess I've seen Jafar's hat not open - did you know there's a completely separate spiel that plays if that happens? Very cool. Let's see, what else... There was a long period of time when the Snow Queen's lift wasn't working and she had to just run on and off stage. I've seen Cinderella's fancy dress not come off when they switch to her rags before. That little bit right after the "love" segment, when Goofy and Donald are hugging? Goofy has actually picked Donald up off the ground and rocked him back and forth! Only saw that happen a couple of times. I've seen the friendship present at the end not inflate, which was kind of anticlimactic. ;)

Once, they cancelled the show for rain, and right in the middle of the cancellatino announcement it stopped raining, so they sent all of the show's characters out to do a set instead... that's how I got Shan-Yu's autograph! :p

I was told once that the reason that Cinderella and the Snow Queen are never on the stage itseslf at the same time is becauses there's only two mikes, so they have to switch off. :p

My fun little experience was with the Genie...apparently he could feel his head starting to slip, so he yells really loud "POOF! Human head!" So his "Genie" head falls off, and then there's...some guy :) It gave him a second to duck behind something and get his head back on without giving it away to the kiddies :D

Anyone else watched the Fantasmic video where the show starts, to spotlights point to center stage... and mickey isn't there... and ALL the lights come back on in the arena. Very surreal!

My family and I usually don't stick around for the shows. But one of my dad's friends had watched a Christmas show in front of the castle once. I believe he said there were snowmen sliding around on stage...one slid a little too far and off the stage he went! He said paramedics had to come carry the poor snowman off on a stretcher. Now, if the person was hurt during the accident, then I feel horrible for him/her....but can you imagine seeing a grinning snowman being carried off on a stretcher? The mental image never ceases to amuse me! :D

During Celebrate the Season, one of the Toy Soldiers at the very end of the bows walked face-first into the backdrop... and I have the video to prove it. ;)

this one time when me and my parents were watching fantasmic at the studios and the show was goin smoothly until when it came time to put the dragon back in the rock while u saw tinker bell the dragon must have gotten jammed and they couldnt get it inside the rock so they pumped the fog effect around it but it really didnt cover anything up cause the dragon was at its top hight. and was like that till the end of the show and the ending was altered so instead of mickey popping up at center stage he walked out from the left and didnt come close to the center of chancing the dragon would be in the spotlight it was pretty neat watching them try to get the dragon in at the end of the show:)

Well, i've never really encountered any techincal difficulties during a show, but there was a time that I saw a show that was canceled in the middle of it because of a certain character who was acting a bit too "goofy" backstage......

Yeah, that's right, it was Goofy. Man, it was a long time ago. There used to be a show in the Galaxy Place Theatre, and I can remember that there used to be like a huge dinosaur like guy with an Elvis hairdo on the right side of the theatre behind the wall that was used in the show. Far too long ago to remember the name of the show, but I do know it was the only time I had seen it. Apparently, the man who played Goofy in the show had slipped backstage. All I can remember is that they canceled that show. I do have pictures of the show though....just can't remember the name!:brick:

I've seen Fantasmic when there is no dragon at all...
Also when the sparkler heads fall off into the water...
Also when there was no John Smith...
Also when, well, you get the idea.

I've seen John Smith miss his cue to swing across hte mountain quite often.

I've seen the monkey float hit the railing just a few feet in front of my face, and all the monkeys ended up ono their faces. (props to them, though, they got back up onto their knees fast and kept going)

In the same show, saw the Little Mermaid and Snow White floats nearly collide, and then the Snow White float got stuck by the mist screens and it was well into the Snow Queen part before it could get out of the way.

Here at DL, I saw the rudder on the Columbia having trouble, and a tech boat had to chase it through the scene. In the same show, a bit of pyro shot off totally randomly partway through. And I take issue with an effect in the finale everytime.

I was watching Fantasmic this past January for the first time, I never had a desire to see it times before but we happened to be near the entrance just as the show was starting. Anyway, just as the show started it starts pouring rain but they continue on with the show, it got about 10 minutes in and then everything just stopped and you heard a voice over the loudspeaker in the backstage area say "inclement weather" loud enough for the guests to hear, seconds after that the guest recording about the show being cancelled etc, etc, etc came on. I'm like, that wasn't very magical.

The first time I saw Fantasmic, the dragon came out but didn't open up. It was so odd to see this giant rod rising over the mountain.

One day at Lion King the singers came out and their microphones were turned off. The singers traded microphones and a tech brought out new mics. Still nothing. The music was stopped and the singers went backstage. About 5 minutes later the show starts with no problems.:zipit:
