Hi, Guys! I promised you a trip report, so here it is!

Drive Down/Day 1

We left Charlotte on Tuesday, April 15, 2003 at around 3:30 p.m. We drove straight through to Orlando and arrived at around 12 a.m. We stopped at the Sleep Inn right outside of Sea World. It was very cheap; $45 a night! And it wasn't ratty either.

The next morning we woke up and decided to go to the Magic Kingdom. We went and checked in at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, dropped off our luggage, looked at the gift shop, ate at Boma, looked at the animals, and caught the bus to Magic Kingdom. I don't remember what time we arrived there, but we met some characters, and headed to Adventureland. The wait for Jungle Cruise was only 30 minutes, so we waited in line for it. We rode it, the Enchanted Tiki Room, and then made our way over to Frontierland. We went to get a FastPass for Splash Mountain, and Big Thunder Mountain.

They really need to do something about the congestion over and around FastPass distribution in Fronteirland. It was almost gridlock (eliminating strollers would help, but it's not practical). We then ate a Peco's Bill's Cafe (without a table in sight!), rode Pirates of the Carribean, and then watched the parade. We took the train to Mickey's Toontown Fair, met some more characters, looked in the gift shop, and then took the train back to Fronteirland.

It was then time for our Fastpass for SM, and BTMR. We rode those two. We then walked in and around Liberty Square, and caught the Hall of Presidents. After spending some time in the shops, we decided to move on to the Haunted Mansion. We rode it with a surprising 5 minute wait. Went into more shops, skipped EVERYTHING in Fantasyland because nothing except "it's a small world" had a wait less that 45 minutes (Peter Pan was 75). We then went to Tomorrowland and rode Carousel of Progress.

By this time, I was CRAVING a Dole Whip. We went over to Adventureland, and I got a Dole Whip. Boy, was it good! :slurp:

We went back to Tomorrowland and ate, shopped, and then watched SpectroMagic. We explored the Emporium...not a good idea at all. As we left the Emporium, it was time for Fantasy in the Sky. We watched it at the gates, then headed back for Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Our room was very nice at the lodge! This was a MAJOR improvement from last year.:sohappy:
