The Power of Disney

It's been a blah week due to a horrible cold and I'm very tired from it. I had to call DME reservations today for a client and the menu is voiced by the previous monorail narrator. I have around 5 weeks until my next trip and I obviously can't wait. When I heard his voice today it put me on the monorail and a calm came over me.
Amazing how the simplest things can make you feel better. Anyone else?

Most. Definitely. Yesterday, I just left this tweet up on my computer and stared at it every so often, feeling so calmed and comforted by this:

It's the way Disney means something to us in a much bigger way that most people don't understand.

When I was in grad school, I had a grueling schedule and commute. I took the train a lot, because I was only getting about 3-4 hours of sleep a night and I didn't feel like it was a good idea to be driving a car with such a sleep deficit. Anyway, I had the Innoventions Music Loop on my iTouch and I would have that on a continuous loop. I would just zone out and not think of when papers were due or the appointment I had to bring my son to, etc. For me, it was like the knot at the bottom of a rope that kept me from sliding off.

Funny thing is the Voice actor on the DME Reservation line also did the Audio Spiel for the Monorail several years ago...

You guys aren't alone in this. I was on hold with a client the other day and wasn't in the best of moods, but the hold music happened to be the same music they play as you go through the barn in LWTL. I immediately felt happy and relaxed. I'll also listen to the Soarin score from time to time to lift me up.
Yes! I'm not a fan of calling tour companies but I love to call WDW. 15 minute hold time? No Problem!
