The Polynesian and Royal Surprise PTR

This is my first attempt at any kind of trip report. I read a lot of trip reports as it is what helps me in between my trips. So with that said, this was more of a last minute trip. My boss asked me if I could attend a conference in Orlando in July. I could not believe it!!!! We had given up on any chance of going to Disney this year. My husband does not get any time off in the summer and my daughter is in high school now and I do not like to take her out of school for a week.
Everything lined up perfectly for this trip, my husband works 4 ten hour days and happens to have Friday and Monday off when we go. My daugther is able to bring her best friend.

Now on to the details of the trip--there will be 4 of us going. My husband, Bob my daughter, Maura her best friend Colleen and of course me, Tricia.
We will be leaving Pittsburgh on July 12th and staying at the Polynesian on the 12th and 13th--first time there!!!
We will rent a car from the car care center on the 14th and move to the Gaylord Palms in Kissimmee where I will have to start working. We will stay there until July 17th. Unfortunately, my husband has to head back to Pittsburgh on the 15th but he will still get 4 days of the parks!
I think the 2 15 year olds will enjoy sun bathing at the Gaylord while I work!
Then on to the surprise and I cannot believe I have kept this secret for a month now. Maura, Colleen and I will check out of the Gaylord on July 17th and check in to POR, Royal Room. The girls believe that we are leaving on the 17th to come back to Pittsburgh, they have no clue that we are staying for a few more days. This could backfire as they are teenagers and they may have plans back home that they are going to miss out on!!!

Thanks so much!! My husband stayed at the Poly when he was very young. He has always wanted to get back there. Question--we requested Tokelau, is this a good choice? I read Tikiman's reviews and it seems to be a popular place for a good garden view.

There honestly isn't a bad longhouse at the Poly. Tokelau is a terrific location. Right near the quiet pool. Very quiet too!!! No doubt, you will have a wonderful time!!
