Hey Gang, I'll be staying at the Poly for the first time this trip on points. Any suggestions about room/building requests? Any must do type things? Thanks in advance.

End every night at the Tambu lounge. We did that when we stayed at SoG, and it would be even better while staying at the Poly! Have a great trip!

When we did online check in we weren't given any building options. Just upper floor, lower floor and near elevator. Does it allow you to choose a building? We just picked Upper Floor.

Staying on points in May and Aug - Both times Standard view and thinking of requesting Tokelau myself.
Tokelau is the best DVC building by far. Just stayed there in January. It's both close to the Great Ceremonial House and the TTC (and the bus stop for that matter), so anywhere you want to go is a short walk. Bad side was the pool was under refurb in January so we had to walk allllllll the way around it (for some reason that seemed so far after a long day at the parks). But now it's open so all is good.

One down side I did see is that there is no laundry in Tokelau. We don't' do laundry so it didn't affect us, but I always felt bad seeing people dragging laundry baskets to Pago Pago every day.

No you have to call in the the reservation line ahead of time to do that.
You can also go to the check in desk once you get the text. We got our text and were literally the furthest room possible from anything. We just walked up and asked and the CM changed it for us to Tokelau.

The Torch Lighting Ceremony is one of my favorite things to watch at the Poly. Happens Tuesday through Saturday nights at 6pm in the resort's lobby. I'd say get there a bit early (maybe 10 mins?) to make sure you don't miss it

Room- Moorea top floor

Things to do- get sloshed and meet people in Trader Sam's. Be amazed at the drink prices.
Watch fireworks from your room
Swim in Volcano Pool
Eat in Kona Cafe

That's all I have.

Definitely call and request Tokelau. If you face the pool, there's a chance you'll be able to see the castle and fireworks from your balcony. Can't beat that for a standard view!

Love the Poly, Tonga Toast is a must!
