Now us Scots like our pies, wither it be steak pie or mushroom pie,but this year we had a QS meal at Cookes of Dublin. The chicken & mushroom pie was very tasty, but my DW fisherman pie was to die for.Various seafood in a White wine sauce with a whipped potato topping was awesome. Is there anywhere else that has a pie that can beat Cookes in WDW.?

Back in 2006 on our Disneymoon we ate at Raglan Road and I loved the Shepard's Pie. We have not been back since (booked in December though!!) so I cannot attest to the current state of this pie.

also are you a fan of chicken pot pie...if so i have an entire list. i am a huge chicken pot pie fan. one of my favs. is from the walnut room in chicago in what was once marshall fields, now macy's, they have the recipe that got the walnut room established. also in wdw there are some really good chicken pot pies , but not as good as the walnut room

The fisherman's pie is offered at the Ireland Kiosk during F&W and DH LOVED it!! Coincidently, Im making chicken pot pies for dinner!! LOL!! @maryszhi is right, Ragland Road and Rose and Crown have shepard's pie (Cottage Pie) I think Ragland Road's version is a mixture of lamb and beef.

oooo- I do like a savory pie. I was just remarking the other day that I love pie crust so much that I'd love for someone to market pie crust bites in little bags like potato chips. I have to say I agree with @zurgandfriend...dessert pie at WDW is few and far between. I know various places offer cobbler, but it's just not the same. I want a nice slice of pie :)

OMG! I had no idea you were in Scotland, or from it! I lived there for 3 years :D Just on the RAFB - Edzel, but how neat that you're there/from there :D

And I've never had an American made savory pie. Only ever had them in Europe!

Ok,I give in. What is RAFB - Edzel ? As far as pies go,I keep forgetting that in America a pie could be a pizza or a dessert like Key lime pie,but I was referring to meat pies.Scotland has more varieties of pies than you could imagine, from pie bases filled with haggis, macaroni, beans, onions, potatoes, lamb, steak, kidney, lasagne, curry, pasta, etc, etc.Infact that's why our national soccer team never qualify for the world cup, there too busy eating all the pies.

Well that's because your not Scottish :) I do love it,not only on Burns day,but it goes down a treat on a cold night with a large dram of malt whisky.
