I've been thinking about this for a few years, but I never asked anyone about it. My first trip to Disney World was in 1987, with my Grandparents, my mom, and sister. We stayed at a Howard Johnson's hotel right near DD (back then it wasn't known as Downtown Disney, I think it was Disney's Market place, or something) Anyway, my question is, is the old Howard Johnson hotel still there. I don't think it's still a HJ, but is the hotel itself still there? I remember they had a glass elevator in the lobby that was over a fountain. I believe there was also a restaurant in the place. They had balconies, and there were two pools, or maybe three, but I know one was a kiddy pool. I would love to go back to the place just to look around, and relive some of the best memories of my life.
