In anticipation of the 6am opening of the Disney reservation lines, I started this fun little thread to see who gets through. I'm going to be headed to the locker room shortly to begin my trek to get Free Dining added. I'll post when I get done. Feel free to do the same!

After a whopping 3 minutes on hold, I got us squared away! Seven nights at POFQ, garden view with Free Dining. What a great way to start the day!

Well, I tried to do it on-line and when you click "special offers" the screen goes blank

Yeah, the online system is a joke. I made a large payment on our package yesterday and it didn't go through. So once I've verified that it's not hung up somewhere I'm just going to call in and make the payment.

I was able to book online at 7am atlantic time! I was ready to call just in case I had issues, but it was very smooth I was I pressed! I am also happy that French quarter was included in the drew dining promotion

It took an hour on the phone, but I'd say that's worth the $830 savings! We'll be at Pop from Sept. 21-29th! Yay for free dining!

Our on hold waiting time was less than 5 minutes to get a person. I figure the free dining has saved us about $900 or more on this trip.

I did get through about 9:15 this morning. First call at 7am, on hold for 20 minutes before lost signal. Second call, on hold for 15 minutes before hung up to get in shower (didn't think they'd appreciate talking to me in the shower). Third call, 45 minutes, but got through! I called when I left my house. Drove to work, turned my computer on, got a cup of coffee, got about 25 minutes of work done (all while the hold music is playing) and right during "Americaaa spread your golden wings" I got through! 3rd time's the charm!

Congrats!! I wish we hadn't gone two weeks ago and waited. I love fall trips and free dining would have been the icing on the cake!! Oh well hopefully next time!! Have a great time!

Yes. I do summer, Thanksgiving, and Christmas or Easter. All high times, since I'm a teacher. I took a week off in late September ( 2012) for our 15th Anniversary trip to WDW, and my boss had a fit! I had the time to take. I still do, but it's not worth the hassle!

Ohh that's rough!! Yeah we like the fall the best because the weather is not as hot and muggy. We haven't been during any major holidays. Is Christmas really worth the crowds?

have you stayed at the French quarters before?? if so how'd you like it?? that's where we booked our honeymoon at.. it will be my first time staying there and I'm worried that I didn't choose the right resort :-/

It is very beautiful. I love visiting GF gingerbread house and DHS Osborne Lights. I'd say it's worth it.;-)

It's a wonderful resort, we stayed there last year when we got engaged and are returning for our honeymoon in September!

The key is going before the crowds arrive. We've been early Dec and just before Thanksgiving. I think I liked Dec better just because everything was in full holiday mode by that point.

Last September was our first time there and we love it. I asked my wife if she wanted to try Riverside and she and the kids gave me an emphatic NO! We love that it's small, quiet, and so peaceful.
