A friend of mine goes all the time and she's kind enough to bring me back nice fresh rice crispy treats and in exchange I paint whatever she wants on her Tom's shoes.

You would be surprised how many of us are out there, mine are just for family and friends at no charge (except rice crispys) so I dont have to mess with royalties. My wife wanted some KU ones and Disney ones and was going to pay $30 + $40 for the shoes to have them done. I tried it out and its easy. Now I've done Mickey and Minnie, R2-D2, a few different Jayhawks, etc.. I'm trying to talk my wife into a castle with Tink flying over for her next pair. Just something to do I guess. She even had me do matching sweatshirts with a Mickey and Minnie outline for our January trip.
