The nice Cast Members in Disney World

I saw the other thread about other nice guests... but let's hear some of your positive experiences with the cast members. Here is mine:

About 6 years ago, my family and I were at the Magic Kingdom for the first time. While we were trying to find our way around and looking at a park map, a cast member comes up to us and asks if there is anything he can help with. We said we were just looking for what to ride next, and he asked which rides we have been on. So, we listed off a few of the rides...

Then, he takes a large stack of Fast Passes out of his pocket, and says, "So you haven't been on Space Mountain<ST1:p yet? Well, here's some Fast Passes!" He then gave us fast passes for three or four more rides. Since we were a group of 5, it added up to a lot of passes!! We were all just really amazed that an employee would not only take initiative in asking us if we needed help, but also offering us something we didn't expect. It was a little magical. :) Anyone else have this happen where a cast member gives Fast Passes?

When we went to Disney in June, our 3 old had a severe croup attack and ended up in the emergency room. She was so upset because we had planned to get an early start. All she kept talking about was getting Mickey ears and seeing the princesses. After several hours, we finally made it to ASMo and tried to check in. We had made reservations several months in advanced, but we were told that we had to move to AS sports. I was livid to say the least. A manager was rude to my husband about it. Staying in the "Buzz and Woody" place is a big deal for a 3 year old. I wanted her first trip to be special but things were really falling apart. The CM at the desk kept making calls and begging the manager at the desk to fix the problem. She really went above and beyond to help all of us. She even gave Jacie a balloon with Mickey ears on the end. I wish that I knew her name. I sure hope that she will be at the desk when we return in November.:D

Welcome to the boards!

My Magical Moment with a cast member was when on young man, came to me and said "You want to ride Space Mountain?" I said sure, but the line is 50 minutes.

He said no problem, and took me through the exit. Got to love Magical Moments.

I heard this story yesterday and had to share:

One day the coordinator for the caracters at Crystal Palace noticed a woman sitting at a table by herself. He asked if there was anything he could do for her. She requested that Pooh be brought to her table. When Pooh arrived, the woman just hugged him and sobbed. She finally explained to the coordinator that, only a few days from her 25th wedding anniversary, she learned that her husband was cheating on her. She took a week-long trip to Disney World to hopefully cheer herself up.

The coordinator then found out what day the woman would be visiting Animal Kingdom. He arranged priority seating for Festival of the Lion King. He then invited her back to meet the performers....... including himself as a stiltwalker! :)
