The New Princess 1/2 Marathon

I ran the Minnie Marathon last week and they were informing us that this is the last time for it and now they are doing a "Princess 1/2 Marathon". I was all psyched about this until I found out a few things. One - it's March 8, 2009 - Spring Break time!!! I like when I can go to WDW during low season times. Two - It's at 6am (not the real problem), the day after daylight savings! So if you have to be there at 5, you have to get up at 3:30 or 4am, but this is after you've set your clock ahead an hour! So after you've had NO sleep, you have to run 13 miles! I really think this is a ridiculous plan. Anyone agree or not?

It's cooler in March than May.

Most people don't sleep well the night before a huge race anyway, so the time thing wouldn't be a factor. Just go to bed an hour earlier. Losing an hour's sleep shouldn't make or break your race.

Train hard and you'll do fine.
