Come on folks, did you expect Disney to keep a Cash Cow closed during Spring Break?

In an announcement on the Disney Parks blog, officials said that the new lounge will open June 23, along with the rest of the Pixar Pier renovation at Disney California Adventure that also includes re-themed attractions divided into four new districts highlighting Pixar movies.

“Lamplight Lounge will serve California casual gastro-pub cuisine that is playfully presented along with unique signature cocktails. This seaside lounge contains a full bar with picturesque waterfront views from both upstairs and downstairs,” the blog announcement said. “At night, outdoor seating provides views of the illuminated Pixar Pier and “World of Color.”

And, yes, it will serve lobster nachos–one of the most popular food items at the entire park.<<

>>In case you still need your fix, the Cove Bar will reopen briefly starting March 16, and then close again in May for its final renovations into the Lamplight Lounge. Ariel’s Grotto will remain shuttered.<<

So now we will have a bigger Cash Cow, and now at night, WOC dining packages... Can anyone say $100 per person....

i wonder how they will do the dining packages if the area downstairs is still left opened. slight wind and people along with their food will be wetter than their drinks

Does that area even have a decent enough view to sell? Isn't it pretty much the back side of the show? I'm thinking they'll just offer admission tickets to the regular viewing area just like AG did.

I thought the Dining Packages gave you preferred seating front and center in the viewing area, not at any of the associated restaurants. At least that's how it worked when I did it.

Yes, they have typically offered a specific viewing area. I thought the PP was thinking of viewing from the restaurant.

But just to clarify, the dining sections are not front and center. Not bad, but not vastly better than the other sections IMO.
