The New Fireworks at Universal Orlando

As you all may know (or not, UO's marketing department has done a good job of not telling a soul about the new shows AGAIN), Universal Orlando has now started nightly fireworks until August 10. I'm wondering, has anyone been out there to see them since they began earlier this month? The reason I am asking is because last year's (or maybe it was Spring Break) show was, well... pathetic. IOA's show in particular was such a stunning craptacular that I felt compelled to stop in South Carolina and see if I could make a backyard fireworks display of my own that could match it. I think mine was better.

So, has anyone seen the new shows? I am hoping that, like just about everything that has been changed under the leadership of Mr. Gault, that the shows have improved for the better this year.

I've only seen the new fireworks shows from the parking garage but they both looked pretty good to my wife and I. We plan on going back so she can shoot them with both her 35mm cam and her digital still cam.

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to video the fireworks. There's no way they could stop you, it's outside. You might want to film each show in it's own park, and also film them from the parking garage.

I doubt that what I saw is what you're referring to, but I caught the 4th of July fireworks at Citywalk. Positively the BEST fireworks display I have EVER seen. AWESOME!

I don’t see how they could stop anyone either. I also don’t understand why they would care to. It’s not like someone’s going to decide not to go to Universal because they’ve already seen the video of the fireworks… :)

I think you may have misunderstood what I was asking. Of course you can film fireworks shows (If you can do the rides...most of the time...no one will say anything about filming fireworks). I was asking if someone can take a video of the new shows and upload them?

>>>Are the fireworks going to be a permanent feature of Universal ??<<<

When the parks are open late enough to justify it. Unfortunately, that is not as often as I would like. :(

Cool. Did they actually shoot shells into the air this year? :)
