The new Disney After Hours

I just saw online that disney is having a new hard ticket event called "disney after hours" at the mk. Is it just me or is this $149 for free ice cream but otherwise just paying for extra magic hours we use to get for free or am I missing something? For instance, we just did the villains club event at dhs and loved it but it was all inclusive with food, alcohol, a scheduled meet time with the characters, dancing, and the floor show. It felt like some of the events we've done during food and wine and we felt like we got our money's worth but this new event seems like them just charging for emh. Just curious what others think.

In my mind the only thing you are missing is that this is a program aimed mostly at those people that stay offsite. There was a lot of complaining about not being able to get any extra hours, but, AFAIK, EMH is still there for those that stay onsite. Different nights. I haven't really looked real close because I didn't go when I had the opportunity to use EMH so you can be sure that hell has frozen over if you hear about me spending that much money for a couple of hours more. It wasn't going to be something that I was even slightly interested in, so I really haven't studied up on it.
