The New DCA

Since i hear a lot of negative about Disney's California Adventure.I thought i would make a imagineering project on a improved DCA. Anyone can join and help(exspecially if you live in California and been to DCA cause i haven't):lol: .

I am going to keep 2 lands.The Golden State and Hollywood Backlot.

I'll post my ideas later. I got to go to a party. I was thinking about starting the back lot first cause I had some ideas for it. You are welcome to post ypur ideas.

I would first change the "backstage" look of many sections of the park. This includes being able to see the outside buildings of Anaheim and power lines. Beyond builiding large hills around the perimeter of the park and planting tall trees on them, or building large attraction buildings (TOT is a good example), I don't know how to how to block some of this stuff. However, I honestly don't think I would change the backstage look of the Hollywood backlot . Perhaps a few more trees, but it reminds me a lot of MGM's NYS section, which never has bothered me. It creates a neat atmosphere.

Second, I would keep the essence of Paradise Pier but radically change it so EACH attraction had an intricate story beyond just being lone "off-the-shelf" attractions that convey a land's story. I would probably keep Screamin' and the carousel in their original form, but provide some type of story-line within the queue. Perhaps even short videos about famous wooden coasters once found along California's coast. I would also do something about the "sterile" feel of the coaster's load station with its concrete walls. Very intricate murals could do a lot here. However, I would axe the Maliboomer, Orange Stinger and the "Mad Mouse"-type ride in favor of more "Disney-style" dark rides that convey stories of a seaside amusement parks, in what form, I don't know. Maybe an over-the-top Disney style fun -house. I'm thinking of a bright, funny, disorienting omnimover ride ala Haunted Mansion. I would also probably try to add more trees to this side of the park.

For the most part, I would keep the Golden State as it is. It is really nice looking. Maybe add a few Bear animatronics along GRR. I like Flick's Fun Fair, but not the whole A Bug's Land, it just doesn't click with the California theme. I would have kept the Farm area with Flick's Fun Fair being within that farming community as you are "shrunk to the size of an ant to get a bug's eye view of California's farm land".

Other than new attractions within all of the exisiting lands, that is what I would do to the existing park to make it a little more aesthetically pleasing and a little more Disney-style. I already seeing it maturing into a nice park, even without my proposals to radically change PP, (the part of the park I feel many Disney fans have complained about and, as a result, ruined DCA's early chances of being embraced) .

First before I post my ideas i would like to post my input on what to do with Paridise Pier. Here it goseP is going to be a somewhat recreation of Santa Cruz Boardwalk. Keep Califonia Screamin and make King Traiton's Carousel 2 levels (like the one at Disney Sea).
Build an arcade with minigolf,laser tag and pool tables.
also have a climbing wall, a 3-d fun House, and a trampaline thingy.

Special effect show -like armaggedon from DSP
Disney's version of the Maddam Tussion Wax Museum-With Disney Characters and famous actors from there hit tv shows like lizzie Mcguire or Alias.

Scenery: hollywood hills, and sunset Blvd. with stars for walt disney, mickey,goofy and other caracters along with stars disney brought up like hillary duff, Raven, the actors that play louis and ren stevens on even stevens and stars from the micky mouse club remake like brittany spears and justin timberlake. It will also have the hands and feet prints in the cement. Instead of the chinese theater that they have as the OLD hub at the Disney-MGM studios in florida they will have the kodak theater look alike.

Kodak theater look alike will have shows and some speacial occasions.

Actually, before I make my decision for a land, here are some of my ideas for a more improved DCA, infact, a complete revamp and a new theme that won't cost too much. These were some ideas posted on Mouse Planet, except, a few of my ideas thrown in. These are plans to revamp it into Disney's America.

Entry Area: Change the murals to have pictures of American Icons and many other things. The Golden Gate Bridge that the Monorail goes over will be changed to look like the Brooklyn Bridge. The gigantic sun icon will be changed to look like a gigantic metalic American Flag.

Hollywood Pictures Backlot: It can stay the same to celebrate America's Film and Intertainment Industry. This way, more diffferent movies can be added in for a ttractions and much more, even the new ToT would still fit in. Millionair, can change to an Armageddon Show, except maybe show somthing other than the movie Armageddon, like maybe POTC. Muppet Vision 3-D can get a new movie, along with a kids water play ground called "Muppet Works". The Great Movie ride can be added, maybe near ToT, and the ride Building can be moved into the nearby Timon parking lot. Rock'n Roller Coaster Could be added around there somwhere. Super Star Limo could be changed to Super Star Limo with Goofy. Goofy's your limo driver, and well, lets just say that he's not a good driver, and your trip is out of control. Sort of like Mr. Toad's wild ride.

a bug's land: change it so that Bountiful Valley Farm can be on its own land and have ITTBAB can be connected to the actual bug's land. I think Heimlich's Chew Chew train should be changed so that its longer, and your chairs are on top of him instead of in him. The Francis lady bug boogy should be changed so that you're riding in bottle caps, and an AA Francis is pedaling to make them go round. The bumper cars need to go because they are too slow, so make it into the Ugly Bug Ball show since the current one is in the Farm area. Change Bountiful Valley farm into America's Heartland so that it shows America's Agriculture and farming, and slowly evolve into a bug's land.

Condor Flats: I don't know about the name change, but it would be changed so that it celebrates America's History in aviation. Soarin Over California can be changed into "Soarin Over America" Just imagine flying through the Grand Canyon, over the statue of Liberty, and more.

Grizzly Peak area: The face of the Bear would probably need to go, and the name could be changed to Rocky Mountain River Rafting expedition. That area around there could be made to look like the Rocky Mountians and Yellow Stone park areas. The kids playground over there could be changed to Yellow Stone Park nature tails. Rocky Mountain River expedition could have AA bears and mountian lions added as well.

The Tortilla and Bread Bakeries could be changed to resemble a Civil War Town.

The area along side of the lake with the Whoopi Golberg Movie could be changed to Liberty Square. The Whoopi Movie theater could be changed to the American Adventure.

Paradise Peir area could be torn down. Yes, torn down. In the place where the roller coaster was, make a giant facade so that you can't see the neighboring city skyline. In the otehr area where there's all the Paradise Peir resturaunts and wild mouse coaster, all torn down and replaced by American Water Front similar too the area at Disney sea complete with Ocean liner ship. The facade area could be made to look like an ocean side mountian bluff sort of thing. Maybe complete with a cape cod area like what is also at Disney Sea. The other side of the lake where there is nothing but a short walkway could have a Industrial Revolution area that celebrates America's History in inventions and tech. Test track could be added here.

No efence you ideas are good if we were converting it to a disney america.but were not.

Here is the first half of my NEW version of PP. I'll explain later cause i'm in a hurry, k here we go.

CS: Keep it but change it so much! Such as faster launch, higher drops, and more inversions. Details Later.

Sun Wheel: Keep it, I think its ok. If you dissagree tell me what you think should be done.

MailBOOMer: Add giant animatronic mallets that suopposedly launch the cars upwards so it makes more sence.

Stinger: Take the inside ride out and put in a teacoup like ride but you ride in oranges and there is the smell of oranges.

MM: Tear down, build kiddie version of CS but just the fun. This is interesting details later.

King Triton's Carosel: Take out little mermaid them, put another one on top and make it a real classical carosel.

JJ: Change, I don't know to what, maybe tear down and a kiddie version of mailboomer.

GZ: I don' know what to do with this, maybe bigger?

SS Rustworthy: Tear down. Put something better in.

sounds good to me. Keep it. I was watching the vacation planining video for dl and dca and dca's PP area looks nice at night when it's all lit up.

I think we should keep it but make it more interactive like the carousal at Islands of Adventure and make it 2 levels.

I think MUhulland Madness is a good theme it just needs o be in a better coaster or a 3-d car ride or something in a coverd building.

I would keep it the little kids like it. mabe exspand it to a rescue boat to.Just an idea:animwink:


I whould also get ride of the other things i didn't mention and replace it with better things.Like put in a climing wall and a trampoline thing with harnesses for some extra activiteys.

Well, maybe we could use my ideas for a bug's land from my Disney's America ideas. By the way, the Disney's America Ideas are just my own ideas I wanted to share. That's all. I suppose I'll work on Golden State.

Also the make the splash bigger at the bottom.

Redwood Creek Challenge Trail: Nothing, except make more places for kids to get wet.

Soarin Over California: Make the film more simontaniouse instead of jumping from one scene from another.

Golden Dreams: Make it an AA show like the American Adventure instead of the movie where it shows California's important people in history.

Well that's it, but I have some suggestions for some of hte other ideas:

Paradise Peir: Nice, but more attractions should be added. I think that maybe the peir where the roller coaster is should be kept the same, but the place where MM is and everything, make that into a new land. Here's my idea: the new land could be, "Ocean Side Harbor". The theme could be an ocean side harbor from the 1920s. An ocean liner replica can be added along with a bigger SS Rustworthy playground. Along with the sights and sounds of San Fransisco 1920s sea-side area of the city. MM can be moved to Paradise peir. The rest of the rides in PP can be made to have more of a Disney theme. I like the idea of the preshows for the roller coaster showcasing the old rollercoasters on peirs. I agree, kick ariel out of the carousel and make it double florred with alot of themeing.

For Hollywood Pictures Backlot: I like some of the ideas, but I think that above all else, the great movie ride should be added to show that some of the greatest movies in history have been filmed in CA. Muppets should stay the same except, but how about the playground idea that I suggested in my Disney's America post? I think Super Star Limo should be turned into the Great Movie ride because once you have Rock'n Roller Coaster, you'll have two limo themed rides, so add Rock'n Roller Coaster near ToT and Great Movie ride into the Super Star Limo. I don't really like the Wax Museam idea. Its not orriginal. How about a place showcasing props from different movies. Also, Armageddon Stunt show should go into the Who Wants to be a millionair show.

Those are my thoughts and suggestions. Sorry if i sounded like I was taking this project into my own hands and making it my own, but those are just my ideas.

every thing sounds good.I was thinking one or two original ideas. and what about that Country Bear Jamboree Chuck-E-Cheese type resturant.

Those are my thoughts and suggestions. Sorry if i sounded like I was taking this project into my own hands and making it my own, but those are just my ideas.
