I have an idea for a Museum of Disney History. This would not be in a park, but it would be at its own location.

There are 5 floors. You enter on the third.

Floor 1: Food Court, Gift Shop
Floor 2: In the Beginning
Floor 3: The Films
Floor 4: The Theme Parks
Floor 5: Disney in Television

In front of the building is a fountain like the foutain at Epcot. (the one by innoventions) In the center is the statue of Walt and Mickey.

Here is a list of what each floor will contain. Some of the exibits are walk throughs, some films, and some both (ex. Man Behind The Magic). Their will be a sit down restaurant Animator's Plate (just like the one on the cruise ship. Each floor contains am exibit which is always changing called The Dream Continues. (except for floor 1 and 2)

Floor 1:
Food Court
Gift Shop
Animator's Plate

Floor 2:
The Man Behind the Magic
Mickey Mouse
The Early Years

Floor 3:
Entrance/Exit
Informaton
Snow White
Marry Poppins
The Acdemy's
Live Action
Disney In Animation 30's - 60s
Disney In Animation 70's - Present
On Broadway
The Dream Continues

Floor 4:
Disneyland Resort
Walt Disney World
Tokyo and Hong Kong Disneyland
Disneyland Paris
Yesterland
The Land That Never Was
The Dream Continues

Floor 5:
Disneyland
True Life Adventures
Wonderful World of Disney
Mickey Mouse Club
Disney Channel
ABC
Clasic TV
The Dream Continues

There it is. I need ideas for the second floor. Also each floor has plenty of room to expand.

What do you think?

Preety good idea, we would need more info. on the sections to make any real commnets.

If you are trying to place the floors chronologically though swtich the tv flooor and the themepark floors, themeparks came after tv....

Just one small comment, the television floor should be below the theme park one, because television was pivital in the builiding of Disneyland, plus people would be more likely to want to see the theme park on opposed to the television one so make them go through the television floor to go to theme parks.

Museums are tricky things...I would suggest this be in Downtown Disney or something...perhaps its own "area" in the resort. Walt never really wanted a "museum" - but it's necessary we know a lot of these things. Perhaps, that's why we have One Man's Dream.

To tell you the truth, I'd be hanging a lot in it! Make it satisfying - and offer ride video DVDs in the gift shop!
