The Muppets Season 4/5 DVDs

ever since going to see the muppets movie that was recently released, me and my hubby have really gotten into the muppets series. we own seasons 1 and 3 and i've just ordered season 2.
now, i've had a poke around and season 3 was released like, 3 years ago. what's taking so long to release seasons 4 and 5? i've read that they were waiting for the movie to cash in on it's popularity... so where are they? :shrug:

I read somewhere a while ago that it's a "rights" issue involving content of some of the episodes. Some of those episodes exist on dvd in single disc packs on the secondary market that were discontinued after the full-season sets were issued. I would bet that if there's enough interest the rights would be acquired from the involved parties. I'd love to have those seasons as they were the best.

I think at the first D23 expo, when they announced the Muppets movie, they also announced they'd be releasing the rest of the seasons of the show. Nothing yet, though.

We had taped them on good ole VHS when it was originally on. I would like to get that on DVD/Blu-ray as well. The only bad part of the show was Clifford, worst muppet EVER! :lol:

I do hope they get season 4 and 5 straitened out soon, you can only watch the first 3 seasons so many times. Oh wait, I can watch them everyday and not get sick of it. Never mind! :lol:

i hope so. i really want to see the Star Wars episode and the Christopher Reeve episode.

watching season 2 at the moment. you can definately tell they got into the swing of things during this season. most enjoyable.

We bought the time life DVD set of the muppet show and that episode is on one of the discs. My 3yr old loves when R2 and 3PO come on. Its so cheesy but at the same time so awesome. :lol:
