Hi folks,Just been reading today's Disney food blog on WDW best burgers.Has anyone out there had the Grand Floridian burger with lobster. At $19.49 it's got to be good surely. The 10oz Kobe burger at Yak & Yeti also looks tempting, anyway am sure the burger has been talked about lots of times, but forget the Peco's & Cosmic Rays. What out of the ordinary burger have you had at WDW and how much did it cost and was it worth it.:)

I had a burger at the ESPN club that was about $14.00, ($13.49 or something around that). I had burger for the same price at the Plaza restaurant with a chocolate shake, and I enjoyed them thoroughly.

Wow! What was special about it? Like was it different from the run of the mill burger.

I love a good burger and I love Lobster. Not so sure about Lobster on my burger, just give me the Lobster on the side so I can dip it in a little butter and then wash it down with the burger.

The burger itself was just a burger however 2 things made it special. The first was that a family sitting one side of to us complained loudly about the prices, so ordering something "so expensive" and then looking over at them and smiling was special. The second was a family on the other side of us that did not speak English sort of came over and looked at our meal. I told their waittress I believe they would like what we are having. We finished our meal and as we left the non English speaking father of the family stood up and shook my hand as if to say thanks.

Ive never tried it to be honest, and think this is Grand Floridian's take on surf in turf in a bun. Just doesn't move me. Id much rather have lobster with clarified butter and a beautiful filet mignon ;)

Nice one.Yeh I remember these foreign tourists standing behind me in a Edinburgh fish & chip shop, looking at the food on display and wondering what to order.I asked for a haggis supper and asked if it was fresh ( winking at the same time ) and the wee lass behind the counter said " Yes sir,it was just shot this morning." The look on the tourists face's was priceless.:)

On the DDP back in January I had it. I was excellent. Ok, it was incredible. It's not Maine lobster, it's the "florida" lobster but still yummy and the entire burger with all it's fixin's is really perfect. I'd have to say it was worth it.
Now I'm drooling, thanks.....

Maine lobsters have claws and live in colder northern waters. Florida "spiney" lobster are not even related to Maine lobsters, have no claws, live in warmer waters and taste very different. Generally speaking Maine lobsters are better. (Says the guy from New England)

My partner was kind enough to give me a taste of his Grand Floridian burger when he ordered it a couple years ago. I think it was different back then. It was $17.49 and had lobster, hollandaise and asparagus. Messy, but worth it.

I thought the Grand Floridian Burger was delicious. With the butter-poached lobster, red onion marmalade, crispy prosciutto, and arugula on top, it had a variety of great flavors and textures. It was served on a brioche bun, with a chip medley and some mango ketchup on the side. Very good.

We will be eating at GFC next month on our trip. I will be trying this for sure. We are going there on our first day, and I absolutely cannot wait any longer. I will be in such a good mood there is no way I will not enjoy this meal.
