Not sure if anyone has suggested it but wouldn't it be rather easy to place Hogwarts Express type trains on the WDWRR tracks. Imagine the possibilities.

Furthermore, Disney would no longer have to spend effort trying to hide backstage areas from view.

Wasn't there a rumor about the steam trains being replaced or at least upgraded to remove the boilers?

Seems like an attraction just waiting to happen.

I'd vote for it.

Not necessarily a clone but something quite similar. I am sure it would require replacing everything but the locomotives but I would think it could be done relatively cheaply as these things go. It could also have much greater capacity. The trains could run slower but there could be several operating as demand might require.

Unlimited potential with this configuration. Ideas keep occuring to me but I will keep those to myself. Think Hogwarts Express multiplied by 4. At least.

Its a great idea, but it would encourage much more people to stay on instead of getting off at the next stop causing one hell of a queue mess. Not to mention, the queues for them are pretty small now,....

Perhaps they would add something that would give guests an incentive to disembark at the train stations. Like new attractions.

Adventureland - Fire Mountain or Indy complex
Frontierland station - Western River Expedition
Fantasyland station - Bald Mountain and Arendale mini-land
New Tomorrowland station - original thrills-based E-ticket, upgraded Flying Saucers and D-ticket family dark ride alongside an overhaul of Tomorrowland

Each section of the Railroad could be themed to underutilized Disney films at WDW? Maybe Mickey and the gang could host the attraction?

Adventureland - Jungle Book, Lion King and Indiana Jones if they ever close the stunt show
Frontierland - Woody's Roundup, Pocahontas or Lone Ranger (movie bombed so not sure about that... but the train sequence is extremely impressive and could be similar to the scope of Kong 360 if done right)
Fantasyland - Aladdin, Kingdom Hearts, Brave, Nightmare Before Christmas, maybe the Disney villains attacking the train?
Tomorrowland - Meet the Robinsons, John Carter (scenery would look amazing), TRON, WALL-E

This is great. Each car dedicated to a different destination where guests disembark at that particular land. They should hire us.

What's cool to think about is that Walt practically did this in his own time. Before screens were ever thought of to be integrated into a moving attraction. I'm talking about the Grand Canyon and Primeval Whirl diaramas along the Disneyland railroad. It really was the first Hogwarts Express, and IMO the more realistic version.

I agree, you could have several show scenes along the route. The trains would enter buildings where the scenes would happen.
