So i have been hearing a lot of complaint of hollywood studios being this that and the other, and everyone is throwing out ideas to make it better. But mostly people are throwing out these big huge expensive ideas.

Well what about little things that could make it better.
So what are some little things that would make hollywood studios better.

Better timing for the starttimes of shows so you can actually go from one to the next to the next...

Better opening procedure for the cast members -- I've been there several times when two of the three major attractions are both down for early entry hours --seems like getting maintenance folks to work a half hour early would probably iron out those types of problems...

Fix the effects -- when you hear the compressors blow and yet nothing comes out of the bubble machines, you just have poor monitoring of basics...

Get rid of all that Cars II stuff in Lights Cameras Action...its embarassing and wastes almost ten minutes...

Put something in the Tram tour -- you basically look at backsides of buildings and a few cars from movies anyone under 30 has never heard of or seen...

Put cellphone signal blockers in all show buildings...

Get new 3D glasses for Muppets 3D -- those things are in horrible shape

Find a way to route the parade so that it doesn't stop the entire park in its tracks since nobody can pass by, around, or through

Put in at least one decent counter service restaurant -- the food quality at DHS is the worst of all the parks...

Yes- another QS would be nice.

I miss Herbie @ LMA Show! Bring Herbie back!

The QS restaurants are basically "burger joints".

I like all of your points! Unfortunately, it is the least favorite of the parks for me. I enjoy TofT and RnRC. I even like TSM! I like the LMA show, but that's about it. I'm not a huge Star Wars fan nor Indiana Jones. My kids love it all though.

HS needs another E ticket ride.

Keep working on it Disney imagineers! Looking forward to some more magic in the near future @ HS!:lookaroun

For me, E Ticket.....Schmeeee Ticket. For me Show is as about as important here as any of the four parks. It's called Hollywood Studios for pete sake! Yes a crowd eating ride would be nice...but give me Some quality entertainment. How about somekind of Hollywood musical Review? I absolutely loved it when they had more impersonators walking around. The actual stdio has fallen to the point of being a joke. Man do I miss the days when they actually did movie work there. I dont see why a sound stage couldnt be built where the audience is behind windows and actors are laying the voices for some animated movies. How cool would that be? The audio piped in so we could listen.

The park is based on the "Golden" age of Hollywood. Give me that. How about building a theater there and have some movie openings held there with the red carpet....real Hollywood actors attending. Quick Service couters?....I agree. Disney wants more Cars? How about a couple Radiator Springs CS resturants?

I feel HS is the park that needs an idenity lift as any of the parks. Seems TDO really dosnt know where it wants to go with it. At one time it flowed, Now the park just dosnt know what it wants to be. It has moments...Star Wars weekend etc. How about a real Hollywood Parade?

The small things?his is what is missing all over WDW, everybody wants big time E Tickets. But that isnt what WDW was built on. It was the subtle things that just made you say....wow! Look at RNR coaster....Great ride...I love it. But it sits in the corner of a plot of land and does very little for the rest of the park. This park needs more personality, No where else is the "decline by degrees" is as evident as it is here. I once loved this park, every visit becomes more and more painful, Will I still go? ofcourse. Like an old friend I will laways have a soft spot for her.

I have a few suggestions.

As someone else mentioned I would love to see the studio a working studio again. The first time I visted "MGM" studios, I remember seeing someone working on illustrations for an "upcoming movie". It turned out they were drawing Pain & Panic for Hercules. So cool!

Also I think they could get rid of the whole American Idol Experience. It came out past the peak of Idol and it really has NOTHING to do with Disney. It feels very out of place for me.

And lastly---MORE MUPPETS!!!

Imagine if American Idol became a permanent Comedy Warehouse show...

It wouldn't be difficult to give it some strong film production theming in line with the park. They could even take some cues from the original Warehouse location, which resembled a prop storage department. That would be a show that I'd actually go out of the way to see each time I visited the park :sohappy:

I agree with everyone on this subject. DHS for me has become a half day park because of the issues already mentioned. I saw LMA once and that was enough for me.. I miss the old backlot tour with the houses they used for tv shows... that was truly what the park is about. The American Idol Experience isn't something that should be there.. something more fitting can go there. I think the park changed after its name changed to DHS.. MGM was so different and you really felt like you were walking into a movie set back in the day with the actors everywhere. ToT was the best thing that ever happened to the park imo.. It fits so well and the details are true disney and make you feel like you are really in the Twilight Zone.

More of the animation and looks of it behind the scenes would be awesome!

"Did you ever consider that there might be a reason for this?"

of course, and I know exactly what that reason is. It's also what makes people choose between one show or another, and then head out of the park after a half day anyway --- If the shows were designed in such a way that you could go from one to another, I think people might actually spend MORE time in the park since they could do the rides in the morning, follow a plan to see the shows back to back, and STILL be in the park later for an early dinner....

Instead, people do the rides, maybe pick up the first show of the day around the lunch hour, have lunch, and head to another park because the next showtime isn't until 2:30 and they are long gone by that time...

It's bad, old-fashioned, Sea-World type planning. The difference is, at Sea World, you really don't have anywhere else to go...
